Well, after 2:30pm for a 6:30pm game, there won't be many free parking spots left on campus...I think having less non-parking pass traffic on campus is a good thing.

You'd be surprised. I've had season tickets for years and i can always find parking spots in the Ag Center free lot 30 minutes before the game. I've never not found parking in that area. A lot of people that park there just tailgate and leave around game time.

you will still be able to get to the ag lot as before...the checkpoints won't affect you getting there...with one caveat: you will need to come from the direction of the LSU lakes...

So has this been confirmed Chicken? On LSU's release it says the only free lots that will be available after 2:30 pm are the free lots along the Gourrier Ave. corridor. I was assuming this meant they are blocking off those entrances to the Ag Center lot.

Actually, I am not sure since you are correct that it does not mention the Ag Center free lots in the email...but it appears to show traffic flow down East Parker by the entrance to the Ag Center free parking...so I am assuming you will be able to get there...

Missing from this thread but listed elsewhere

The popular Unity Field tailgating area at Highland Road and South Stadium Drive will be fenced off indefinitely. LSU officials said the area has been the source of “significant issues,” including recent firearm-related incidents.

This is one area where the troublemakers have been hanging out and doing trashy things. Nice to see it getting fenced off. Nobody decent tailgates there

I was thinking about coming down, but real life has gotten in the way and I'd be a bit paranoid about using my normal overnight parking arrangement on S. Stadium Drive as close to Highland as I can get.

I’m thinking g it sounds like the old days as well .. gates “closed” at maybe 3 hours before game time? Could have been 2. At least on Nicholas not you got there last minute without a pass they’d turn you around.

They’ll never do what’s needed to fix what happened the last two home games. They know what the problem is, but won’t do it.

Curious what the plan will be for the inevitable 11:00 am kickoff versus Arkansas.

Same here. Can't imagine they would close the roads off at 7am

Marijuana. Those found with illegal amounts will be arrested. I thought any amount was illegal.

Actually, from what I've read here they have taken significant and real steps here that I think will make a difference.

I guess we'll see Saturday, or better yet - I'll find out from others, as my tailgate is on the other side of campus and if I didn't know better, I'd still think it was 1995 as it's the same there as it always has been.

I wonder who will test the marijuana now that The Constable has transferred the only person who did the testing from the Crime Lab? Smoke and mirrors.
