This to me is a game going forward will be frustrating as hell while Lane is there and be a roll of the dice on who wins each season.
Eventually our talent will be superior and it probably is now, but after a couple cycles we will be back up to our talent level at all positions but still see this particular team having us circled. LSU is who Kiffen is trying to become at OM it’s not Bama. What I mean by that is being the #2 team in the West and much more of a realistic expectation that the Former.
Saying that, Kiffen is really a great coach and found a sweet spot at OM that plays into a good “destroyer” of a season and and the underdog role.
I predict over the next 5-6 seasons it will be a 50/50 type split so forget Bama for a minute this will be a thorn in our side type game.
Hope I’m wrong.

Just copy what Aranda’s did to them in their bowl game

I think Saban hands Bama over to Kiffen in 3 years.
Yes that would be bad.

I love me some Dave but Corral going down was the difference in that one. Pretty sure they moved the ball well the short amount of time he played.

Matt Cassel got hurt early in the bowl game. Not a good data point.

And it's ok to acknowledge that the poster is correct. Kiffin (although he's personally a tool) is a brilliant offensive mind. Ole Miss clearly doesn't have our talent across the board, but they'll have a good offense as long as Kiffin is there.

Maybe it's not a 50-50 deal against OM, but that game will usually be a tough one with Kiffin guiding the offense.

Some years I suspect 51/49.

Other years more like 49/51.

I’ve seen enough years of LSU sports to figure if one team will be a thorn for LSU it will be a Kiffen coached OM team.

You are.

Kiffen is a good coach and Ole Miss has at times given us problems…within 2 years there is no way it will be a toss up game. We will own them.

Until they start bringing in top 5 recruiting classes, I don't see this happening on a consistent basis.

I’m not even close to suggesting that OM will compare in talent. Just an innovative coach who will game plan like crazy and circle us more so than other teams he faces.

3 West teams LSU should never lose to. State, Ole Miss and Arky.

Quit making excuses.
