I remember reading this article. LSU is not the only stadium to not be filled to capacity during big games.

I suspect that these scanners are missing more than the max. 1000 that they think they might miss per game. How would they know anyway?

You could have manual clickers at a couple of gates and compare to the digital count.

Yeah, maybe they should count the seats in Tiger Stadium again. Maybe we don't have 92,600 - 93,000 like we think.

There have been games when I almost couldn't breathe because we couldn't fit another body in our section. And I'd look around and it looked the same everywhere else.

maybe the tickets are sold to other team fans who don't make the trip!

Why would LSU want to undershoot its actual attendance?

Got season tickets in the west upper this year. There were a ton of emptys for USC. I was shocked. It was very noticeable.

Please tell me why then, during the Alabama game in 2008, people were literally filling up the aisles/steps and the gaps between rows. There's no way we haven't reached at least 90k.

I don't care what the article says. I don't believe those no show numbers.

Some anecdotal information:

The guy that sits next to me has 4 tickets. It is usually him, his wife, and his daughter. Typically he doesn't use the 4th ticket unless he knows I need it, or his daughter is bringing a friend.

I always sit in his "4th seat" because my neighbors to the right of me have 45" waistlines.

The two seats behind me are owned by a Bank in Laffy. They have been used 4 times in the last 3 years.

How many high school coaches get in Free.

I wouldn't think free high school coaches would be scanned by a scanner

Even if the article is true, GA and AU 03 could have easily been 90k plus.

The 92,600 number also includes SRO in Suites/Stadium Club. A number of which will go unused because there isn't a seat for them.

that is a big part of the problem. companies buy tickets and they don't get used.

They are issued a ticket and it is then scanned.
