Few more

field position was huge.

Special teams very solid

Giles was very quiet. Had a nice PR. I think we are 5 deep at WR. Drops need to be cleaned up. Left plenty of yards & a TD on field. Careful how you judge the playcalling without considering this

I’ll try

Thought the play calling was pretty standard for having a big lead. Execution needs to be cleaned up(blocking/catching, mainly). It wasn’t really the plays

Like we had that middle screen set up to Brosstte that would have been a huge game that was batted down. Burrow has a pass at the goaline batted down which he had Chase open on a quick slant. Few other little things. You have to be able to separate the actual calls from the execution.

Offensively they got back in the game when half our lineup was 2nd stringers. Then few lucky Hail Mary passes. Eh, whatever.

I’ve been saying since summer delpit will be a first rounder and was laughed at by the TD know-it-alls

He’s the real deal. Wish he would have pulled in that INT. Kinda caught him by surprise

Ensminger needs to put more trust in burrow.

They couldn’t cover Jefferson, would’ve liked for him to go deep to 2 a couple of times instead of just run run pass.

I think they will. Honestly we didn’t give him a pocket all night. You need that to take shots. OurOL did improve through the game though. Hopefully that snowballs into the next few weeks

Jefferson did look good though. I think He, Giles & Chase will be our top 3.

Brossette needs to stay in the game too

We shuffled RB & WRs like crazy. I think we played 6 WRs

Plays downhill & has some nice range too.

I like what Queen flashed too.

Single digit jersey wearing LBs always thump

Good job, LE.

Solid. I don’t think they took the foot off the gas. The execution wasn’t the best. But people here have to find something to hang on to so they can bitch about the coaching.

Gotta trust the OL to be able to trust the QB

Good post, agree field position was huge along with the two TOs obviously.

Saw a lot of the same points you made, think we saw a lot of individual flashes on both sides but the sum of the parts isn’t quite there. But that’s not unexpected this early.

Phillips was awesome. He did a good job of playing assignments and supplying pressure. I wish he would have finished more plays in backfield.

Secondary had a lot of trouble judging and finding balls. Huge plays made over them all 2nd half. Delpit was everywhere, absolute star. Joseph needs to play over Fulton.

Chase made a great play on sideline. Anderson made a couple of big catches. Jefferson is open all the time. Thought we would see more Giles and we need to work Moreau into plays where he can slip out of blocking. Giles punt return was nice.

Burrow did a good job checking into right plays and saving plays that just weren’t there. 11-24 with some drops and many throws out of bounds to avoid sack. Only 2 really bad situations: 1 throw far behind Giles on inside slant and another throw to jefferson on slant (however, Jefferson took way too long to get into his break and was in wrong place.

D line looked good. No real complaints there. O line has a lot of work to do, but they did a good job clearing lanes for Brossette.

Overall, great win against top ten opponent. We had opportunities to finish them off earlier, we need to do a better job there.

Can't disagree with any of that.

Game plan was fine for the first game, and then shut down after we got up 3 scores..
So we didn't see the full playbook/game plan from SLINGER.

Not sure he can be judged much from this game. We shut it down too early

D white never misses a tackle. Like...ever

Not all that upset about the conservative playcalling given how the Miami offense was looking. I still would have liked to see our OL have been able to impose their will a little more and end it..

OL has to get better and quickly
