Ok, I got it now. If he didnt bobble it, he would have probably still got the guy out at first. Being that he threw him out at home, it magnifies the play and we're assuming incorrectly the guy would have been safe at first.

I said it in last night 's thread, our base coaches are incapable of reacting to a live play. You have to think ahead, but you also have to react to the play as it happens.
