I don't think i've ever said this about a pitcher but i wouldn't mind Nola throwing a few more balls. He gives up a token, multiple run, home run every game.

I can't recall a game when so many blown calls behind the plate so effected the outcome of a game to this degree...

Does Jacoby Jones ever have any clue what the next pitch that may be thrown to him is? He always looks like he completely taken by surprise.

Maybe he should try reading a fricking scouting report every once in a while.

How many damn strikes have we watched the last 4 innings!

Um, they may have been called strikes but they sure as hell were NOT strikes. Ken Couch needs to get his eyes checked

Ofcourse it is.

I'm not a "bitch and blame the coach for every loss"-type person. But starting with pulling Dozar and putting Yocum in there, he made far too many questionable decisions. Letting Fields swing away in the 8th was just a terrible call. There were at least 3 poorly-managed decisions in that game that had an adverse effect.

We choked so hard. It's obvious who was better today in both games. USCe was scared. LSU missed barely putting this game away and a couple of plays made the difference for them.

Very poor...the old fart home plate umpire should be forced to retire...CWS quality teams should not have to play with umps unfit for slow pictch softball

oh there is no doubt

he does throw too many strikes, he needs to do the ole skip 0-2 pitch in the dirt routine

There was 5 or 6 strikes right down the middle that we dont even attempt to swing at that inning and last.

He's young...he'll learn. His biggest problem is he doesn't know how to work the count. He'll throw it right over the plate with a 0-2 count and get blasted.

Nola is going to be a stud next year.

I heard the 'throws too many strikes' criticism of guys before. It's valid just for the reasons you stated. When you fill up the zone, it's tough to miss bats consistently.
