He does that every game putting a pitcher as DH and then pinch hitting. It's gay IMO

Haven't been paying attention but he usually puts a pitcher he isn't going to use there to start and then pinch hits the first time they come up. The player he uses depends on the situation.
Coleman is the "starter" but if the situation calls for it he may use a better bunter the first time up for example.
