Because every series has to be completed in a 3 day window. Normal series can't spill over onto Monday to finish, therefore we can't play over into Sunday.

I'm old school.. Used to rock pagers. I used to be able to read number messages on a pager better than English.

You answered your own question. Our series was moved to Thurs-Sat for TV, and all other series are Fri-Sun. We have to have our's completed in 3 days like everyone else and every other SEC weekend.

it wouldn't be an unfair advantage if we never even started the series until friday. i have no idea what the weather looks like tomorrow, but what sort of unfair advantage would it be if we were to play this series friday-sunday, you know like every other team is this weekend. like i said, the only reason this game is on thursday is because of TV, and had we not done the same thing last week, we'd be the one's having to play at a somewhat disadvantage because of a short week's rest between series.
