Think if this was super regionals. If an elite team comes In says they are pitching their #3 first you're saying that lsu wouldn't or shouldn't adjust the rotation assuming that this pitching has a big drop off after their ace ??.

I was merely speaking in this situation, but the situation you are referencing is the exact situation we were faced with last year in the SR against Stony Brook.

Absolutely.

Mainieri is starting Glenn this way so he can throw the first game of the SEC tourney, then throw the first game of the regional, then have extra rest for the super regional if necessary game 3.

I didnt watch much of the game, don't know anything about the A&M pitcher, but there are good fly ball pitchers out there.
Cliff Lee and Jered Weaver off the top of my head are fly ball pitchers and really good.

ETA:
quote:

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M junior right-hander Daniel Mengden limited third-ranked LSU to one run through eight innings, and the Aggies erased a 1-0 deficit with a two-run seventh inning to post a 2-1 victory at rain-soaked Blue Bell Park.

Oh well, at least we got Nola & Eades still. We're gonna frick stomp these bitches tonight & tomorrow (weather permitting)

We had 2 errors in the 7th inning. I'm pretty sure 3 of the games we have lost this year have been our own doing. Glenn had another great performance last night.
