Future of the Wide Receiver Room
Posted by Moscow Mule on 10/16/19 at 8:39 pm353
The future is bright. We will lose a few key pieces. Namely Jefferson, Sullivan, and Dillion. We will return Chase, Marshal, and many others. The depth at the WR position still has a lot of talent that has yet to be seen. Expect big plays out of some names in the future from names we haven’t heard much of this year. Not to mention the recruiting current recruiting class we have, if it pans out how it is looking will be the best receiver group recruited this year. As long as we have a guy that can get them the ball and a line that can give him time to do so we will be solid for years to come. This new offense will only continue to allow us to get better recruits. Our running backs are no slouches in the hands department either. #WRTS

Mcmath has blocked well as has Sullivan. Hope they get some redzone passes thrown their way soon. Hard not go to one of the big 3 though. They just always open

Our running backs have been pitiful "in the hands department". Fournette has multiple drops (rip) and so does Clyde. Hard to see how they could be much worse.

Sullivan should make an NFL team.

The fact that he’s 6’6 and a freak athlete, can run block and catch. How fricking slow are you?

I like to give Lester shite as much as the next guy, but I don’t think Sullivan makes a team.
He’s never really been able to get open consistently. Sure, his blocking has been great, but that’s about it. Moss is an average power 5 tight end and beat out Sullivan

Sullivan is a Typical Receiver from LSU pre Brady Era. He’s a run blocker with decent hands. Honestly I think he has pretty good hands. His size is the main reason. I think he also has decent speed. Watch the film on him. He doesn’t miss many passes and he always blocks down field. He plays his role. That’s a big target and I think he will develop and transition to the nfl well

Anyone that remember Brandon Coleman on the Saints should know that Sullivan has a place on a roster. If he can bring ball control with his blocking ability he can last much longer than Coleman.

Gets thrown around on this board way way too much. 90% of the team are freak athletes. That doesn’t mean they’re making NFL teams

How is he a freak athlete? Lol
He’s never open. Every catch he makes is contested. He got passed up by 3 sophomores and was forced to move positions. That is like the kiss of death. I hate to be a dick but damn

There are no guarantees that Jefferson leaves.

I see Sullivan as late round or UFA level. And blocking is WAY more important than catching to the NFL at that level.
They want a guy who can (and will) hit on special teams and in situations. Much easier to develop ball skills than hitting.

Palmer is going to be a fricking stud. Next Chase.

They’ll have another Rummel Raider receiver next year as well...
