If we're having a good season, the sky is falling.

If we're having a fire-the-coach season, the sky is falling.

WTF!

Does Charlie Weiss want to be a head coach? Some coaches prefer to be coordinators.

Depends on the jobs offered. There are a lot of coach killing jobs .Both of them are making more money than a lot of mid majors and the big boys might offer a coordinator but a lot of fans would be pissed.USCe ,Ark,A@M,maybe Vandy might be looking in a couple of years ,but I imagine they would all want a sitting HC.Baylor,USCw Maryland believe then can get a HC.

I think there is a chance they both are back next year. They’re not going to leave for just any opening (Baker/Tulane last year) and they both get paid pretty well right now.

This. The top G6 jobs have relatively new coaches who probably won’t be hired away to higher jobs yet, or may not be good enough to be hired away. And Baker and Weiss likely won’t leave for a lower G6 gig, so that leaves the P4 openings.

If just depends on what their priorities are. NC St and Maryland don’t seem that attractive to me. I know Maryland is in the Big 10, but their admin and boosters won’t pay what’s needed to be competitive.

Baylor is an attractive job in what has become a great area and with wealthy boosters. But it seems like they are either looking to aim higher (rumors of Riley if he is let go at USC with a negotiated buyout with USC to make it work on both sides) or at someone with connections to the program.

There will be other jobs that open up, but there may not be any in the SEC who would consider coordinators with Beamer pulling back from the edge and Arkansas unlikely to make a move after just one season. One possibility would be UK if Texas or Bama opened up and threw a bank vault at Stein.
