LSU is going to win it all this season. You heard it here first. Defense will be top five. Offense will be good enough. Special teams has to step up.

We may disagree about a lot of things, but I sure hope you're right on this one, ben.

Folks have got to forget about Les Miles. We've got several tender hearts here I've noticed that really can't quite let go of him. He essentially quit LSU (in refusing to drastically change his offense). To hell with Les Miles. Damn!

Miles gets credit for being a silly arse Bafoon and bring this program to its knees. When Miles left we had 4 OL’s 1 injured and 3 DL’s one injured 1kicked off team. Check out both lines depth now, not great but wayyyyyyy better and that is where the games are won. So, If LSU wins it all its all Ed and coaches. Without a Doubt.

Where the hell did you come up with those numbers? According to the LSU.net site, the 2016 roster had 21 defensive linemen between defensive tackles and defensive ends.

There was 18 players listed as offensive linemen between the center, guard and tackle positions.

I'm not sure what the roster looked like after the mass exodus of linemen after o was named the head coach, but there was no way in hell the number of players were the way you made it out to be when Miles left.

You might actually be talking about the players that left after Alleva hired o.

The 2018 roster shows 17 offensive line and 13 defensive linemen. When Miles left, there were 18 offensive linemen and 21 defensive linemen.

Yeah, it's wayyyyyyy better now.

I agree, but Miles knew his time was over after 1/9. He did nothing but wake up the next day and figure out how much money he can make off LSU. Hell.. his agent prolly told him to...

1) Does Ed Orgeron get all the credit for righting the ship, promoting Ensminger, bringing in fresh talent, and hiring new coaches/analysts?

Yes he would get a ton of credit for modernizing the program, getting an offense working and instilling discipline into the lines.

2) Does Les Miles get partial credit for originally hiring Aranda/Ensminger (not to mention Orgeron) and handing over a solid program with a great foundation of athletic talent?

He would get partial credit for hiring Aranda, not really ensminger. He would also get credit for keeping the brand name strong and recruiting the skill positions so well for so long.

Personally I think Les is way better of a coach than O, but I am willing and look forward to being proven wrong. I can not support O all day long, but the long and the short of it is “just win baby”.

Since this is a rebuild as we've been told since the "playoff team" last year underachieved, id say all glory be to Eaux

When my boss tells me to do something, I do it. Les COMPLETELY IGNORED our "ultimatum."

I don't dislike the human being Les Miles at all. I just can't grasp why so many here are still so attached to that dufus, constantly starting threads referring to Les freaging Miles. Let that guy go, folks! And for that matter, let this Coach O topic-creating obsession crap go too. Its LSU Football we're rooting for!!!!!! ---New season, new hopes! If O fails, his arse is gone. shite man shite

I was never a fan of Miles and was disappointed that he didn't leave for Michigan in '07. BUT, the man is the winningest coach in LSU history and delivered some of the best teams we've seen. So, when someone says...

As he should. Saban is the reason we use to have championship standards. I'll always be grateful for those years.

Now we are back to rationalizing 8 wins as some grand achievement.

Ah, yes, championship standards also comes with irrational expectations.

are u kidding clyde?????

He barely gets credit for the 07 NC. I'd shake Dave Wannstedt's hand first for pulling the upset of WV.
