The only other one was William Howard Taft, Oct. 30 1909, LSU vs. Sewanee, New Orleans

I remember that game well. Had a romping good time with the fellas. Went out there in our new Model Ts and showed it off to the gals in attendance. Pantaloons were dropping all around.

It was too bad that President Taft didn't get to see LSU win that day. Sewanee was just too tough a foe.

Alabama is now claiming the President was at nineteen Alabama games, all of which were subsequent to The Reformation.

You had to bring it up? I'm still reeling from the loss over 110 years later.

But they will be able to say they have the most Presidential attendance in the SEC.

Taft was a big man, probably the only president we've had fatter than Trump. Looking at his picture, it's easy to see how he was a Yale heavyweight wrestling champion who loved college sports.

Checks out.

Pretty sure Clinton attended an Arkansas game in Tiger Stadium before. Can't remember the year, but remember traffic afterwards being insane around stadium getting him out.

So Bama is claiming the 1517 championship too? Papal bias!

Also interesting from that article, the President who attended the most college football games while in office was Harry Truman. (All Army v. Navy)

Even more amazing than the picture of Taft is the picture of the 1909 LSU team.

That's the whole team plus coaches.

I guess a lot of them played both ways back then.

The two guys in the middle definitely look like they went both ways.
