These people are insufferable (thank God they didn't win). Enjoy the melt:

Above could have been less so if more pressure was put on Burrows Speaking of Burrows, he is really good, but he is a cocky and classless little prick...reminds me of Mayfield.

quote:

The broadcast crew was terrible. Felt like it was on the SEC Network itself. Herbstreit suggesting LSU could be #1 was one fo the most ludicrous things he has said, and that is saying a lot. It's a compliment. in a way, to Texas, but for the most part just an odd suggestion. The commentary throughout seemed to favor LSU. Only LSU made mistakes, it seemed, not Texas making good plays.

quote:

Burrow was terrible every time we brought pressure and picked us apart when we gave him time and dropped 8 into coverage, yet much of the second half we brought little pressure and Burrow did his thing.

quote:

2. Or maybe #1, referees cannot win a game , but BigXII refs deserve an assist. They are beyond pathetic. For both sides, terrible. They have completely lost control of game management. I paid attention and kept score. On the 19 play drive, they had seven, SEVEN players down. Herbstreit explained that it was hot! No,duh. But apparently only on one side of the line. For player to be down, stagger off one play, and run back on like a deer! BS. Three times down, sit out a quarter. Seriously, they are either hurt or not. NCAA needs to address this. For player safety. You cant play for 20 seconds, stand around five minutes while some fat tub of guts wallows around, and do it over. It’s not fair for either side

quote:

I agree with the announcer reviews. Herbstreit is the worst ‘cheerleader’ for a broadcaster, every single game. And he hates Texas with a passion. Makes me wonder if we didn’t recruit him, ala Mayfield, or something. I will never ever listen to that prick again. Turning off sound and going radio. Hell, the Longhorn broadcasters are more objective than those rah-rah clowns. And I do get tired of one-sided opinions even when it is our crew. I thought I was watching that ‘best team in history of college football, USC 2005’, again

quote:

I am suspicious of the Tiger injuries. They were gassed. That was way too obvious.

quote:

Sam was tight in the first half. Remember his frosh year against OSU and TT? We blew those games that should have been victories. At least he is now only tight against top 5 competitors

quote:

All I will say is payback will be a bioch in BR. It will be Texas bringing back 8 starters on each side.

I mean goddamn, the most memorable play of the entire game (3rd and 17 to Jefferson) - they were bringing the fricking house on him and he was about to get sacked.

Yea, he was terrible when they brought pressure. Since he was 31 of 39 passing I guess they only brought pressure 8 times.

FYI, Joe had a perfect passer rating under pressure.

Yes it will. Your band will have seats at the Box. Your team’s locker room will be a disused fracking tank. Your fans will be seated on slings hanging from the stadium lights.

All fans see what they want to see. Key LSU players left for longer than a play after cramping up.

This is my worry for next year, but that's a long ways away. Won't have to truly worry about this until what we know who is coming back, but you can probably safely assume they'll be starting a 4-year starter at QB when they come to town.

This is true. Next year will be tough. We are having to replace a lot on offense. With the year Jefferson is having I expect that he is gone. Cush may be gone, we might only have Deculus left as an Oline starter. RB will be significantly better with emery and TDP having a year and an offseason under their belt. I may be in the minority, but I think helaire is a 4 year back. Unless he breaks out and gets a great draft grade, no way he leaves early.

It will come down to us protecting Brennan and him being able to pick up where Joe left off throwing to Chase and Marshall and whoever steps up as #3 (probably Palmer.)

BUT, and HUGE BUT, Our D will likely be the same, possibly improved. We are deep at DLine and it seems our young DBs may have more potential than our older DBs (except Delpit). LB will be very solid again. Unless Ehlinger comes back, I'm not so sure they can replicate their offensive production from last year and what's to come for them this year.

I thought the exact same about the broadcast crew...but about Texas. Herbie got better as the game went on and we got closer to the win.

Fowler was a prick and made a couple comments I remember thinking we’re hardly neutral.

Maybe just maybe LSU was trying recover from that time spent in the locker room

This reminds me, driving home from the game I caught the Texas postgame show and they played the radio highlights of the game with the one and only Craig Way.

That dude has to be hands down the best radio play-by-play announcer of any team. Superb job on the call. Anyone else hear it?
