Friendly reminder about this Tuesday's home baseball game with Southern RE: start time...

First pitch time is scheduled for 5:00 PM Central Time rather than the usual mid-week start time of 6:30 PM.
I assume this start time is to prevent conflicting with the basketball team's game @ 8:00 PM PMAC tipoff time on Tuesday.

Makes sense. We don't want the UK basketball game to overlap with baseball.

Thanks for the heads up, Russian. I'm on Eastern Time, so I'll have to start setting up for BPB

Yep. I love the scheduling, too, because almost everyone at the game is going to be from Baton Rouge. Lots of those people are going to be on campus all evening to catch both games. Much better for that particular day to have Southern on campus than someone like NSU that's got a three hour drive home after they leave campus.
The baseball program always does a great job of promoting in-state teams and scheduling them for midweek games, but they also do a great job of working around the SEC's scheduling of basketball to maximize the impact of big games on both programs.

Coach Jackson has SU off to another good start. Lost 8 starters in the field, and still beat UNO 9-3 to open up the season.

Every season there is at least one Saturday when the basketball game in the PMAC starts around noon or 1 PM and a baseball game at the Box starts around 3 PM.
So, around the middle of the first inning or start of the second inning you can see a parade of fans crossing Nicholson Drive walking from the PMAC to the Box. I enjoy seeing that.
