Curious what the tRant's opinion of him is so far this year? I haven't seen much on him that has impressed me either way really

He’ll be a solid TE, but he’s not ready. He doesn’t seem to have great hands and he’s made some bonehead plays

At some point he's going to break out.

The first few games of Michael Clayton's freshman year he looked awful, other than a few special teams plays he made. Then the light came on and by the end of the year he was a monster.

Taylor is a tight end, obviously, so it's a little different, but the comparison holds.

He’s really good and much better much faster than anybody could have predicted. But he’s not ready as a true freshman yet to have put as much on him as they have so early. Need to taper his responsibilities down a bit.

You didn’t see the scoreboard last week?

He’s a liability; we’re basically playing 10 on 11 when he’s in there over a 4th receiver (or even a plus blocker like Mashburn)

Nothing personal but I’d love to see this offense with both M and K Taylor unavailable.

I trust Brian Kelly when it comes to tight ends. I think Taylor will be a great one by the time he leaves here

Very good player who makes freshman mistakes sometimes. He’s taking on a lot more responsibility in the passing game because our QB can’t get the ball to the wideouts and checks it down so much but he’s doing a solid job for a freshman.

It seems like after you get a catch from him that's all you'll get and nothing else after.

I’ve seen enough to say get him off the field

He's been just fine if Daniels can get the ball to him, like the play he made against Florida State. They tried to go to him early against Auburn, but the throws were off target just enough to turn them into difficult catches for a tight end.

Put the ball on him, and he'll be more of a weapon. I'm not at all disappointed in him.

He's our best TE as a freshman (okay, not saying much).

And he'll be one of the best ever by the time he goes to the NFL...

Folks always thought he couldn’t get stud receivers to South Bend, because it’s Notre Dame and academics. I’m starting to think a little differently after seeing Him try to force feed a true freshman tight-end over a Jack Bech or a Jaray Jenkins.

I think he’s going to turn out to be a good one but Bech should be running those routes

He will be a great TE for Walker Howard to connect with in the next couple years

There's a reason he's starting as a true freshman with a very experienced Coach
