BK took over a Notre Dame program who went 3-9, 7-6, 6-6 the three seasons before he got there. They were awful.
Freeman was left a program who had just gone 12-1, 11-2, 10-2, 11-1 with 2 CFP appearances and another NY6 bowl.
Their situations were not the same
