I'm sure he's seen that... but we would look dumb on national TV if we simply focused on what is happening in the NBA in relation to China/Disney instead of the actual issue going on right now in communist China.

If we want to make a sign to bring light on China or #freechina, then bring light on the PEOPLE in China who are fighting a communist regime...

It won't affect the game

Yes it will. it has nothing to do with the game. WHy don't we chant "vote for JBE" or "vote for Rispone" or some other crap that has nothign to do with the game. It's a football game. keep it a football game.

quote:

What's going on in China matters.

it matters to people in china. not you. You think it matters to you (which if we keep pissing off the Chinese it eventually will when a war breaks out). Do you want to also make a big deal out of the people every where else in the world where they are treated unfairly in your opinion? Or you just feel like making a big deal about China right now?
There's wars and injustices going on in Eypt, Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Morroco, Algeria, Somalia, Cameroon, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Congo, and Chad. Go figure out which side you want to be on and chant that too while your at it. You can even try to put a "it just means more" spin on it too.

I'm honestly focused on the game. I don't see why China needs to be involved at all.

I read EVERY word. BLM has claimed, screamed, kneeled, etc. about an "epidemic" of police shootings of blacks, and they are systematically murdered by (particularly white) cops.

The article debunks it completely. As have other examinations of actual data.

You believe in a MYTH.

quote:

“On the most extreme use of force — officer-involved shootings — we find no racial differences in either the raw data or when contextual factors are taken into account,” said Harvard economics professor Roland G. Fryer Jr. in the abstract of the July 2016 paper.

Mr. Fryer, who is black, told The New York Times that the finding of no racial discrimination in police shootings was “the most surprising result of my career.”

I think i have to agree with dude. You don't seem to have actually read the article, it is talking about and poking holes in the quotes and studies you are citing.

Not making a political point on the matter, more of a either you're either not good at reading or don't care about sharing misleading information

quote:

A wider body of research suggests Fryer’s study is not indicative of a wider picture. Examples include: A Guardian investigation found that in 2015, 7.3 per million black people in the US were killed by the police compared to 2.9 per million white people. In 2015, the Bureau of Justice Statistics found that the government has been undercounting the number of people killed by police and that the true number is probably twice as high. In November 2015, Jeremy West looked at automobile crash investigations by a state police department and found a pattern of racial bias in police investigations. In Chicago, black individuals are much less likely than white individuals to make successful complaints about police behavior according to the Invisible Institute. In their database, black people filed 61% of the complaints, and white people filed 21% of the complaints; but of the complaints that were upheld, only 25% were filed by black people, while 58% were filed by white people. In total, the database found 56,361 allegations of misconduct made against the Chicago police department from 2002 to 2008 and 2011 to 2015.

Probably 95% haven't, but so what?

I have lived outside of the USA, in a formerly communist country, and I have worked in Hong Kong (and may be returning this year)... but so what?? My opinion would be almost the same if I had never lived outside of the USA and/or if I had never been to Hong Kong.
