I don't think this is important at all and I don't really care what the NFL's priorities are once they start violating the rights of potential workers.

Parity is overrated anyway, it's the reason why so many NFL games are unwatchable these days. It's 30 or so average to bad teams with maybe 1 or 2 somewhat above average.

Ok...Ok....What you gonna feel like when a kid at like 19-20 who thinks he can do IT in the NFL gets seriously injured or even killed???? Lets say a team wants to take a chance on Brandon Harris of LSU after this year... He would get destroyed at the next level..Think about it...

I think folks are going to have a really hard time convincing Buga that he is a victim...of the NFL policy or anything else. He ain't got time for that. It messed with Clowney's head, but Buga's about his teammates.

What you think is irrelevant. It's what the NFL thinks that matters given that it is their business to run and their business model to implement. You have quite an arrogance to think that your opinion overrides that.

The NFL is by far the most watched sport. You can't tell which way the wind is blowing.

LF will probably have more carries this year than he will next year.

So the NFL's priorities are paramount, even when it includes collusion to repress the rights of workers?

This is a collectively bargained situation. If the NFL and the Union agree, there isn't much of an argument to make.

In fact, the argument was already made and decided.

So you think it's appropriate for judges to walk out of the room when one side starts making its argument? You think that shows impartiality?

In your opinion...which is wrong.

Almost everything about the NFL's model is right. The salary cap leads to balance, the balance leads to the draft being of huge importance, the draft is meaningful because players are semi-developed and known, and while cap mismanagement can be painful for a franchise, teams can pretty quickly decide to get rid of a contract and spend that money elsewhere. The rebuilding cycle is very short.

NFL fans benefit from the system.

College football fans benefit from the system.

The NFL benefits from the system.

The players associate benefits from the system.

The problem is, we live in a country where the few can make rules for the many in most cases, not in the NFL. LF could succeed in the NFL right now. No doubt in my mind. However, the other 100 sophomores that think they can succeed in the nfl really can't. That is the problem.

The Union is for current players, whose jobs would obviously be threatened by a rule change. They are colluding with the teams as well on this issue.

But generally speaking, I would be perfectly ok with scaling back on what the union can and can't do (obviously would keep for negotiating general licensing purposes like Madden) in exchange for getting rid of the salary cap, draft, and age limits.

if I were an owner I would be pissed about this as well, if I want to pay Andrew Luck $250 million over 10 years when his Colts contract expires, why should I be prevented from doing so? it's my money after all.

frick the cheesy, overproduced NFL and their draft. College football is so much more enjoyable than the advertising trance the NFL inflicts on us every week.

I guess you just don't get it......... You can run with the legal stuff all you want... This is more about the physical effects playing in the NFL could be if a young player is not ready for it.
