It’s staggering how many former LSU players are in the NFL vs. the lack of success LSU has had in the past 6 years due to piss poor coaching.

A school's number of players now in the NFL doesn't correlate to success. It is not even close.

Some smaller schools which aren't power houses have decent numbers of players in the NFL.

Well they could be Florida, USC, or Miami.... you know the teams at the #2 T2, and #5 positions on most players in the NFL

That's due to superior position coaching.

LSU loads up on the "Great Recruiters" that are weak at actual coaching and player development.

Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

You don't coach for Saban unless you can teach your position first and foremost. His "System and Process" works and LSU's doesn't at producing SEC West/SEC Championships...........

Great post, especially the bolded comment. This fan base is obsessed with having the best recruting staff in the country instead of wanting great teachers.

I got one even worse than that.

It hurts how little things like ESPN bringing up things like "And if you are wondering why Bama isn't #1 in NFL players, that is because that distinction belongs to (suppressed laughter) LSU."

Unfortunately, for LSU fans, none of those former LSU players are quarterbacks.

I remember Francois was highly rated coming out of high school. If I remember correctly, he didn't play much till senior year, even then didn't dominate. Yet he is still playing pro ball...... hmmmmmmm

but it is peculiar the level of achievement that these players have achieved under different coaching
