He's the countries leading rusher still, even with the bad game. With 3 more games to go he can make it up. But just goes to show that they will give it to who they want.

This wasn't just some "bad game". This was THE game that would have cemented his Heisman. And it was the worst game of his career by far.

Yeah, I've done the same.

I'm not going to list it, but you can safely say Saban/Alabama were the sole reason we missed out on 3 legitimate shots at a title (2011, 2012, 2015). You can't prove hypotheticals but you can't dispute that either based on what otherwise played out.

2011, 100% (obviously)
2012, 85%
2015, We'll see. I wouldn't advise any fellow Tigers to bother booking Cotton Bowl tickets.

Yep. Don't know why people are playing dumb. Frankly it's not that tough a narrative to sell. No sportscaster or Heisman voter is going to sit around talking about the line. They're going to talk about 9 for 9 in the first half and 31 yards all game. It really is an abysmal stat-line.

I quit giving a shite about this when Peyton Manning didn't win. That was kinda like the 2008 election a "I can't believe it" moment

Umm this is one writers opinion, not the actual heisman odds. LF will still be on top in the Vegas odds

Christ, some of you need another hobby! I swear you let a game that you have no part in destroy your happiness.

As long as media continues to make bigger deal of one game instead of a season's worth of games , the award will injusticely be given to a person unworthy of such a high award. Signed Peyton Manning . I will never forgive heisman committee for putting too much emphasis on the mi- osu game that year and I'm not even a Tennessee or Manning fan! Let's hope that no 7 is given his due after all games are accounted for at the end of the season when ballots are cast THIS year!

Not one of those running backs would fare any better getting hit on 90% of their carries in the backfield right after they get the handoff.

He breaks 250 this weekend.

I think he was motivated last game but that front 7 is nasty. I think our oline will open up the holes against rkansas and he will have a little something extra in his step.

Unfortunately, perception is reality. That game is going to hurt him bad. He's not out of it, but I don't think it's his to lose anymore.
