Sucks for the kid. I thought he was pretty talented out of high school, albeit a bit raw. Hope he puts it together.

I pointed out the obvious when he was here, that he was meh. Got crucified and DVd, but turns out the truth is now known.

Really went out on a limb considering last year featured one of the worst secondaries in LSU history.

The little I saw of Welch at LSU he seemed to be tight on his guy but didn't know where the ball was (aka Zy Alexander in early 2023 before he improved). But his main problem was he was not strong enough to execute tackles. In one game, even the announcers brought that up saying "he needs to get stronger." I remember seeing him one time coming out the locker room and if he stuck out his tongue when being viewed from the side, he looked like a zipper.

...and actually he didnt suck this year. He had solid season for Arizona State on the field.

Even if you were correct (You weren’t.), what could you possibly get out of dunking on a college kid?? I make a point to not say anything bad about the kids @ LSU. What possible good do you think will come of it??

He is a good young man. Apparently made a bad decision. He works very hard to get better. An injury at the beginning of the season was a set back. Hope he gets a break.

I thought he was solid and wanted him to stay. Too bad he can't be disciplined enough off the field. Would be a starter if still here.
