I just reached out to Peak, the event management group for both tournaments, and asked for clarity. This was the response I just received:

Appreciate you reaching out! LSU is currently slated to play in our Jacksonville tournament. We’ll be officially announcing all participating teams for each event in mid-August, so stay tuned for that release.

Does LSU no longer have interest in the one in Houston? I know it’s no longer Shriner’s, but it’s always had great competition.

We played there in 2020, 2022, and 2024. I’m sure we’ll be back there in the near future.

May hits, someone will post “Is Jay the right guy? He may not see real success ever again.”

Hmmm. Anyone up for sharing a condo in at TPC Sawgrass and playing some challenging golf at the PGA Players Championship course?

Be prepared to buy a shitload of new golf balls. Despite being a very short par 3, more than half of the tee shots hit to the island green 17th hole go into the lake, and there is some water in play on just about every hole.

It’s scheduled for the end of Mardi Gras week. Fat Tuesday will have come and gone but I assume that’s a big vacation week for many.

Bout fricking time I get to see my tigers back in Florida we haven't played the Florida gayters in Gainesville in over three or four years. I will definitely be at this event.

I was told Jay really wasn't thrilled with Round Rock last time we went there. Maybe he pushed for them to move things around.

Like last year’s event, the Jax College Classic is streamed thru D1’s platform. So regardless of location, it’s sure to be another remote viewing shitshow.

Well those are some disappointing teams LSU plays compared to some of the other tournaments they’ve played in.
