And you think the Michigan offense is better?
They've thrown for 200 yards just twice all season:
204 yards vs Texas and 208 yards vs Illinois.
They have also had 2 games where they failed to even throw for 100 yards:
86 yards vs Minnesota and 32 yards vs USCw.

Because of exactly what happened. Michigan matched LSU’s offer, Bryce said no and stayed committed to LSU. Michigan then upped their offer to $10.5 million, Bryce said no and stayed committed to LSU. Michigan was then forced to up their offer to $12 million, and finally he accepted.
The same could have been accomplished on an open market without committing anywhere. Each time Michigan would have called he could have stated thanks but no thanks. I'm keeping my options open. All the campus visits to LSU, playing 7 on 7 with LSU commits & being coached by a former LSU player did nothing to drive up potential NIL contracts Michigan or any other universities.

Which would explain why he committed so early to LSU, to reduce some of that stress
I mean its possible youre right about the long con. But reading the tea leaves suggest otherwise. Still think if LSU wouldve matched he would have been at LSU and the only reason hes at Michigan is because the money is an insane amount. IMO the Underwoods were just as caught off guard as LSU. I think they were very happy with the 6 million LSU had offered him.

He probably was looking elsewhere regardless of the money after seeing the current state of the program. He wants zero part of the Kelly / Sloan offense.

People who spew that BS have no clue as to what they're talking about. Best not to bring facts against them.

Underwood didn't like the fact Jim Harbaugh ignored him & had more interest in QBs in other parts of the country when Underwood himself was right there in his own backyard.
quote:
But it wasn't going to be easy. Of course, Underwood was an LSU commit and he showed loyalty to Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan, but Michigan never quit -- because it had a ton of ground to make up.
Underwood, who grew up wanting to play for Michigan, felt slighted by former head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss who didn't make Underwood feel like a priority. Top Belleville product said the Wolverines were going down south to find their future quarterback instead of looking at what they had in their own backyard -- Underwood himself.
quote:
"It capped multiple months of aggressive behind-the-scenes work that was spearheaded by Moore and general manager Sean Magee as they had to overcome a relationship that was significantly fractured because of Underwood, who grew up wanting to play at Michigan, not being made to feel like a priority earlier in his high school career by former Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh and ex-Michigan quarterbacks coach Matt Weiss."

I'd never seen or heard of this guy before, but I immediately despise him.

Could have had buildings or the entire stadium named after him. Instead he hands over millions to a high school player
$12 million to Ellison is the equivalent of a guy with a net worth of $200k giving a high school kid $10.

There have been countless stories on how 5 star recruits were sick of the whole process by the end. Basically being overindulged.
And there are countless stories of guys that would take as many visits as they could, even to schools that they have no interest in, because they enjoyed the process that much.

I hope that kid goes there and is an absolute mistake. On field issues, off field issues, may they abound. 12 mil for a screw up.

That individual was never coming to LSU.

This is a joke
So a rich guys gold digger wife who doesn’t know anything about football got her husband to cut a check. That about sums it up.
Not Sherrone Moore saying this is how well develop you, this is how you’ll be utilized, this is the value of a Michigan degree. Nope, a dumb lady who doesn’t know Brady Hoke’s name
Whatever. LSU did its job.

He had no intention of doing so. Hope he falls flat on his face.

I think he wants to go to LSU, but the money they are offering would be stupid to pass up.
Anyone working a full time job is lying if they say they wouldn’t go to Michigan for that amount of money and the connections that come with it.
It sucks, but no one is ever turning that down
