Shut up, I don't like Ed as a head coach at all. But I have been to every home game he's been on staff and every bowl game he's been on staff.

Let's just say for the sake of the argument that I stopped buying tickets this year. That would still mean that I contributed to his salary last year and if he wants to keep that salary and get a raise, he has to win back fans like me so that we return to the stadium. Either way, he still has to keep fans like me, you and fat bastard, along with the other "haters" that stopped spending all of their money. Isn't that what this thread is supposed to be about anyways?

He went 9-3 with a cancelled game his last full season. Alleva even stated they didn't want Les to go on a string of wins, which he would have, so they fired him. In fact I bet Les only loses to bama in 16, giving him 10-3 record. And I think he easily takes this team to 11-2 or 12-1 last season.

You can tout how many games Les was winning all you want, but he was no longer competing for the west. That’s why he was justifiably fired. Look up the last time Les finished higher than third in the west, much less won it.

correct. our last year really contending was 2012. we could have won it all that year.even bama fans were telling us 2012 was our year after losing the natty to them. we had bama beat. still woulda been hard to beat UGA again in seccg but if so we woulda skull drug notre dame.

The REAL TIGER FANS are the ones who actually have high expectations for this program. Posters like you are the reason for O in the first place.

“fired”

Any cost/benefit analysis will point to the fact that, at this point in time, the firing has not produced effective results wherher you personally felt the firing was justified or not. . LSU spent millions of dollars extra and has produced a worse overall record than whiat we had in 2015, less O production, and with more embarrassing losses.

The problem was not that Les Miles was fired, the problem is was due diligence done by those in authority at LSU in the hiring of his replacement.

10 wins would be a nice start. But I just want him to do what he said he'd do when he was hired: not meddle, let his coaches coach, learn from his past HC mistakes.

so far he hasn't done any of that.

So much fail in one post. They couldn’t hire a ST coach until the NCAA approved the extra slot.

How many other teams went through the season without a ST coach?

Coaches get let go all the time, timing and planning matter.

1)

2) I think it's safe to say most people don't "hate" O. We hate the hire. We hate the entire situation that led up to his hire. We hate the chances that were squandered, leaving us with the O hire. Joe settled after he got his nose shoved in his own crap twice.

I don't care who the coach is. I want a consistently winning program and a HC that doesn't meddle in the play calling (because what's the point of paying coordinators millions just to overrule them?). I don't need a National Championship every year, but at least be in the conversation/a contender past week 6 or 7.

this was due to O making other hires assuming the NCAA would approve the extra slot.....they did not. That was poor planning on "CEO's" part and the end result was poor STs play. Of course at the time, O said it was no big deal and the duties could be split up among the staff. Then after the season, he and players have admitted not having one had much to do with our struggles.

Meh, i wont say that i HATE O, but i definitely dont respect him as a person, leader, or face of LSU football. They guy is a loose cannon who throws players and coaches under the bus IMMEDIATELY when the blame gets pushed in his direction. He wants to fight the media when they question his direction, gets in scuffles with coaches at practice, etc.

Plenty of evidence that he's not a great human being.

In short, he's a scumbag.
