Didn't you just say you'd rather start out weak and finish strong than start out strong and finish weak? Well, what better way to determine how a team finishes than looking at its last 5 games instead of last 8

If O fricks up this season he needs to be fired. I'm just glad we dodged the Jimbo bullet.

Damn fellow, you said how we started. we started 3-2 and finished 3-2. Both were five games.

Having you talk about agenda is a laugh. Like you don't have one.

11-2 this year with a bowl win. I will say beating Bama and going 10-3 would be acceptable too as long as no embarrassing losses.

Has to get some trophies and a playoff appearance in the next 2-3 years tops. Otherwise we’re spinning our wheels needlessly

Orgeron was 6 and 2. Then 9 and 4. Now what. Looks pretty even to me.

And then won the whole damn thing in his 4th year. O better get to it if he wants to continue to mirror Saban's coaching career (/sarcasm).

LSU/GBFTL Alum Semjase don't play the lying game. You don't lie to the fans and expect full support and patience. Short rope.

10-2 regular season and a Bowl Win would get him another year.

I just don't think he's the long term answer at LSU.

"Perception of dysfunction and Incompetence" is everything to recruits.

I also don't play the "Mediocrity Acceptance" game as many of the "Cheerleaders with low standards of Excellence" on here do.

10-2 aint happening though with the current sub-standard OL that will be on the field this season. Can't emphasis this enough. The talent aint there.

Burrow and Brennan (If he doesn't RS) will be running for their life and I doubt if they make it too far into the season without getting injured.

Better have JM or King-Lord ready to go; maybe go retro and run the Flexbone since neither can successfully complete the Causeway passing test.

Would 9-4 losing to the 4 best teams on the schedule be a huge accomplishment?

Would beating Miss St, Florida and A&M really make that a good season?

I think you must have misread my post Sammy. I was saying that those would be the only 4 losses assuming he wouldn't also lose to a team he wasn't supposed to. Has he ever done before?

Right I get It. You’re questioning if 9-4 is possible. I am Questioningnif it’s even good.

Like even if we only lose to good teams.

9-4 isn’t a great record just because you lost to 4 good teams.

You have to a good team yourself.

Is it GOOD? It's definitely not ideal. Is it bad enough for me to warrant him being fired in what I consider year 2? I don't think so. I would say that in that scenario and assuming a top 10 recruiting class that the 10 win regular season bar should be there for 2019.

1) fire DP
2) show us he has a real plan, rather than just doing what looks good at the time like hiring Canada and firing our ST coach who happened to be one of our best recruiters then replacing him with no one! At least wait till after signing day to fire him.
3) fire and never again hire your kids HS coach.
4) don't do anything slimy in recruiting
5) win the SEC West.

So much fail in one post. They couldn’t hire a ST coach until the NCAA approved the extra slot.

But you suggest he should have got the kids signed then fired their lead recruiter? Can’t make this shite up.

You lost me there, chief. I'm no O fan, but if we start racking up hardware, and 10+ win seasons after season 2, with his players and coaches, I dont know how you can say it's in spite of him.

REAL TIGER FANS

Oh, blow me. You aren't better than anyone else. Just because people don't accept the company line "we comin'" doesn't mean they're any less of a fan than you. I've been pumping money into this university for well over 20 years. I will say what the hell I want, when I want to say it and as often as I want to say it. I pay those motherfricker's salaries and they're job is to make sure we get what we pay for.

Only way I see Orgeron having a good shot at winning a NC is if he assembles a 2001 Miami type of squad, just overwhelming talent and depth that even he can't frick up.

This will probably hijack but Miles wasn’t winning 10 games a year anymore. He wasn’t just losing to Bama either. He was losing to Arky, Ole Miss, Miss st, Wisconsin etc. That’s why he was fired.

He went 9-3 with a cancelled game his last full season. Alleva even stated they didn't want Les to go on a string of wins, which he would have, so they fired him.

In fact I bet Les only loses to bama in 16, giving him 10-3 record. And I think he easily takes this team to 11-2 or 12-1 last season.
