This was my first trip to Tuscaloosa. Before the game I was surprised at how well the two fan bases were mingling and having good natured fun. But just like others have said, in the 4th quarter and after the game they all turned to assholes. Nobody was able to say, good game.. or have a safe trip home.. they were the most sore winners I've ever been around.

Was a mixed bag; On way back to the car had several Roll Tide's shouted in my face, and couple of young punks get up in my face with some taunting garbage which we promptly ignored and went on; The last guy we came upon said "hey, that was a bad call you,ll had there but it was a great game- good luck the rest of the way" To which I replied "same to you dude" and we headed back to B'ham where no one else said anything about the game.
Overall, was not the worst treatment (ie;Florida)especially as stated others before game was pretty good atmosphere and afterwards they acted as if they hadn't been there before(SEC Title)!

Without a doubt the most classless winners ever witnessed. Before the game a group of Bama guys(one was a preacher) joined my group for some drinking and nice banter. As we headed to the stadium together we all wished each other good luck. After the game back at our tailgate spot here comes preacher full of satans vile and piss as he proceeded to admonish groups of tigerfans walking. He saw us watching him as he approached and tried to looked apolegetic for a second then thought better of it and told us loudly "the lord hates fricking tigers".We all fell out laughing as he ran off yelling RTR.I think they all thought before the game they would loose, and after just forgot how to act,its been so long.

The fans were all fun-and-games outside the stadium, acting buddy-buddy, but like everyone else had said, they were sore winners after the game.

During the game, that was another story: LINK

You know that is not true unless you simply ignore all things in purple and gold. Every fan base has their idiots. LSU is certainly no exception.

IF many of you are offended by the behavior of Alabama fans, it would be in your best interest to stay home when LSU plays at Florida & Mississippi. Gator & Rebel fans make Tide supporter's behavior look like that of a Catholic nun.

Pre-game- Fat, bald middle aged Bama fan grabbed his groin and told my wife and I "Bama gonna stick this trunk up LSU's arse" Told him I was sorry he was born without a penis and he should have a doctor look at that. His reply - "frick You"

"DJ" at tailgate gets in my face and yells "L S WHO???" Told him it was a "U" but knew he probably hadn't made it all the way throught the alphabet yet. His reply - "frick you"

smart bunch

"3 people i know got 3 scalped tickets from some old man in the lower level - they ended up being stolen tickets"

Counterfeiting has been a problem this year. As a Bama fan, I hate to agree with everybody but we were in rare form in the hostility department. 10 years of pent up frustration can have ugly results sometimes. I think the cheering after the Julio TD/Peterson cramps was a carry over from the score itself. The cheerleaders who were on the opposite end of the stadium used terrible timing in starting the ALA....BAMA chant. I had a much bigger problem with fans booing your o-lineman who appeared at first to be faking the injury to stop the clock but WAS actually hobbled. That was an embarrassing first for me. The end of the game wasn't our best moment as a fanbase. Just proves that we all have bad nights as fanbases. The end of last night's game was one of ours. We are usually MUCH MUCH tamer fanbase (almost too tame and polite except for arrogant little dbags in the student section).

I WAS glad to see us actually bring the noise on a consistent basis. The one major positive of the night.

Govt, thanks for your intelligent, well-spoken response. It's good to know that there were Bama fans who were ashamed at the actions of the rest of the fanbase.

Before the games was OK it was typical enviornment I would expect before a big game. During the game when LSU player was hurt reaction was classless. After the game most acted like idiots. The experience was what I expected considering where I was it made sense.

Good Luck in the Sugar Bowl, maybe you will beat this years Utah.

actually for the most part it was good, except for the booing for players hurt on the field. On the way out of the stadium ( marching with the band) an Alabama fan threw an alocholic beverage into the face of a female mellophone player, the dude was then completely knocked out by an LSU fan. Also another band member caught an alabama fan with an elbow to the face for reaching into the group.

Like everyone else said...nothing to say before the game and then trash talking (F ya'll, F this, F that) after they hit the field goal to put it out of reach.

Cheering every time one of our players were hurt.

Stadium was terrible - no replay screen, terrible layout, no decent food - they served funnel cakes for Christ sake (they call it an "Elephant Ear"). Stadium announcer was awful. Pumped in ghetto music was garbage. All around terrible experience.

Then went to their "world famous seafood restaurant", Wentzel's, and it was absolutely awful food and the BAMA fans didn't make a peep (like they had lost). Weird people - weird place.

Tuscaloosa is an armpit.

This was my first trip to Tuscaloosa, and I must say that other than the outcome of the game, the rest of the trip was great. We tailgated in the Boyscout lot so it was mostly LSU fans. I sat in section U3B row 2, and everyone in my section was friendly. Actually the lady behind me made the comment that the fans booing when T Bob went down made her sick. They never once were rude and shook my hand after the game was over. Maybe my experience was the exception to the rule, but I will definately make the trip again.

I wasn't there but to the OP ... shame on every f'ing fan that was doing whatever the hell cheer it was while our man was down.

I can honestly say that wouldn't happen .. and hasn't happened .. in Tiger Stadium.

Don't worry, I got it on video and will be posting it shortly. I thought the stadium sucked, the fans are ugly both in how they act and how they look. Doing cheers and chants when a player is down on the field is classless! I thought I hated Ole Miss the most but Bama just took their place. The tailgate we went to was a group of Bama fans 3 huge RVs in a lot and you know what they had to eat after the game? PIZZA. PIZZA!

but on the last drive when T-Bob went down it was sad to hear the Gumps booing. That would never happen in T.S.

If I had not have been there and saw it with my own two eyes, I would never believed they were booing a player down on the field.
