This is so intellectually dishonest. The Arizona state offense was not the same offense LSU and Denbrock are gonna run this year. And the goal is not to see how many passing yards the QB throws for. The goal is to move the chains, score pints, and win games. Myles threw for a ton of yards and Tds in his 3 starts. Amd we went 1-2 against 3 bad, bad football teams. Myles didn’t lose the games—LSU did. But QB has the biggest impact on winning and losing of all the positions in sports, and he couldn’t get it done when it counted. You can’t give Brady all the credit he gets and give Myles a pass. You have to be logically consistent.

I will say 2 things, though about 2022. Myles is not the same guy he was in 2020. Those injuries took a toll on his body, and his arm just wasn’t the same as it was. And that’s not his fault—he suffered some pretty devastating injuries. It’s not a slight on him that he lost a little bit of the 1 thing that was his biggest physical attribute.

The second thing is that I’ve heard that Daniels is a good kid, but kinda quiet and maybe a little shy. Not a great trait for a QB. Nuss would appear to have an advantage there. And that may lead to him either winning the job to start the season or take over at some point. I didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to Notre Dame under Kelly, but I didn’t have to to know that Kelly has a rep for using multiple QBs throughout the season. I don’t think he wants the initial starter feeling like he’s looking over his shoulder from the 1st series and that he’s one frick up from being yanked, but Kelly will have no problem changing QBs if it gets to the point where he feels it’s necessary.

I’d be shocked if whoever winds up taking then1st snap against FSU stays in that position all season long, even if there’s no injury. We will play 2 QBs, if not 3. If Daniels wins the job out of camp, Nuss will almost certainly get some chances along the way. Wouldn’t shock me if Howard gets some non-mop up snaps as well. So it will work itself out. Barring injury, the best QB will emerge. Kelly has proven throughout his career he’s not too proud to make a change. Or changes. There’s just no reason to get pissy over something that may not ever be an issue. If it becomes one, then bitch. But bitching now before something happens—that might not ever happen at all—is ridiculous.

Brandon Aiyuk had 65 rec, 1192 yards, and 8 TDs with Daniels throwing him the ball.

Can you give us a breakdown of how the ASU offense is similar to the offense run by Kelly/Denbrock?

The changing to spread/rpo, getting away from Stone Age concepts including max protection. This is what gave burrow the ability to show his talent, he always had it in 2018.

Burrow was asked to be a game manager, they gave him very vanilla concepts with not many reads to make. They literally took away the guys best trait… (being able to read defenses) and knowing where to go with the ball

LSU couldn't run the ball.
Like 45 yards compared to almost 200 for Arizona St.

Jayden Daniels completed 13 passes for the game.

You left out the important parts... Daniels completed 13 passes for 287 yards and 2TDs, no ints. He also had 45 yards rushing. This was all right after his grandfather died like the day before.

Why not? Aiyuk put up fantastic numbers with Daniels playing as a true freshman

This is too logical for them to understand.

The majority of Aiyuk’s number came from opponents that had team defenses that ranked higher than 90 with the one exception of Oregon that year. Daniel’s played great in that game but has struggled playing against better defenses. He will most certainly face stiffer defenses in the SEC.

Tell us ur rocking a heritage not hate confederate flag bumper sticker without telling us baw.

With decent Oline play, Boutte, Bech, BTJ, Jaray, etc etc etc will feast like Aiyuk and Darby.

Ur smooth missing the fact that until a couple of days ago, the biggest question mark on this team was the ability of the Oline to protect the QB. How exactly is having a QB that can escape a collapsed pocket a bad thing?

You just made the OP’s point. That freshman Derek Stingley turned out to be a #3 overall draft pick, right?

I'd venture to say throwing against Stingley in college for 1 year of practices was probably the best DB Burrow had to face in college.

LSU’s current starters are DB transfers , they are also underrated.

Except you are basing your opinion on only 1 year and 12 games, right, because the first 2 years and 17 games tell a different story than the one you want to tell.

Quit the Madden-football plug n play mindset...

New QB with new OC with new playbook playing and building chemistry with 10 other guys on Offense, that side of ball that typically takes longer time to gel than the defense.

Football is played in the real world, and this is reality.

See you just added 13 passing TD to him assuming he would have had his best year. Why not add only 5 or 7.

I calculated his average. That’s the way it’s done.
