For first time, I am embarrassed to be LSU grad

I am not going to go into all the problems LSU has faced though the years. It has been chronically underfunded as a state flag ship institution but usually had capable leadership. Not always the best but there were always people within the administration that knew the score.
Over the best few weeks I don’t know how many times I heard phases like “What the hell is going on at LSU” or things are getting bizarre in Baton Rouge, “ I can’t understand what they are doing at LSU with his Canada situation.
If this only related to football it would be bad enough but we all know it is deeper than that.
Congratulations everyone, thanks to BOS, Alleva and fricking King we are now officially a laughing stock

I’m embarrassed because anyone with a brain outside the athletic building sees what’s wrong and how it can easily be fixed. Hire Freeze and eventually fire O.

No. The 90s happened whether you were there or not. 9 wins used to be a big deal. Now it's a big deal as a negative. We're spoiled. I'd love to stay spoiled but they are ruining it.

The worst part about the under funding from the state. I get that a lot of the elected officials are small government conservatives but damn the majority of those men and women got their education at LSU. Louisiana has too many public universities for its population but LSU should always be taken care of. It's one of Louisiana's greatest assets and the state keeps shitting on it.

So you are saying that your status as an LSU grad is solely contingent on the success or lack thereof of its athletics department? I'm embarrassed for the state of the football team. I'll never be embarrassed of being an LSU grad.

This situation is legitimately devaluing our degrees. There is literally no tangible value in going to college, you just leave with a piece of paper which gives you an intangible level of value and respect (which is decided by word of mouth) from people. When you have someone like F King Alexander running a complete clusterfrick clown show, the overwhelming negative publicity takes away from your ability to effectively use your degree as a status symbol.
I know that feminine libtard F King Alexander has absolutely no interest in football whatsoever, but the first thought that pops into every single moderately interested football fan (which there are a LOT of in the southeast) when I mention that I went to LSU is "wow, that sucks. Pretty big mess up there."
If that's not grounds for firing then absolutely nothing is.

The school itself has plenty to be embarrassed about with some of the debacles over the last 2 years. As well as F King marketing us as an school that uses food stamps on a daily basis. Embarrassing.

If LSU actually hired Freeze, then I would legit be embarrassed. We may all be in an uproar over the football coaching hires, etc, but at least none of them are involved in scandals that have tarnished the university's image.
