Exactly, you get everything you can right now. That's how Foley approached it.
And if you can't get it, use it for positioning for something else. Such as the off week for Bama; no way the SEC would make Bama, or any other team, move their off week for that. But by bringing it into the equation, because risk is low, maybe use it later.

I love it. We need to stand firm and make the SEC office sweat. We don't need to play Florida ubless we beat bama, which is unlikely.

It didn't look that way to me the last time 'Bama came to Tiger Stadium. The refs threw a very questionable flag on LSU near the end, giving 'Bama new life. I'd say the officals arse raped us while 'Bama clapped.

It's about Alleva (and LSU) not allowing UF and the SEC to screw over LSU in regards to LSU's schedule. It's about time LSU stand up to the SEC.

I would rather play FLA the bye week and screw what Bama does. If we keep winning our MOJO will be off the charts and don't want a bye week to slow that down. We can still be fresh enough and let Bama dit around for a week knowing they are going into a hornets nest the next week against a hot and fired up LSU team.

Yeah, that part was kind of strange. But I noticed he didn't say he would make that a firm demand. Just that he was "not in favor of" it. I took it more as a negotiating point that he could give up for something else if there is actually any more negotiating to be had.

Every single time Alleva gets behind a podium, I cringe to think of the PR ramifications. He is absolutely and unequivocally horrible at the "game" of PR. If you are going to say ANYTHING, you mention the hard stances that UF and Foley took, and leave the questions on their side of the issue. By opening his mouth about the Bama game, he opened up speculation on our motives.
