For all those people wondering why Emery isnt playing

LSU vs Florida 41:00 Min Mark
Click on that link, go to 41:00 minute mark and watch the play. Watch it to the very end and you will see Burrow get up and point to get Emery off the field.
In the SEC..you HAVE to be able to pass block and you HAVE to know the plays. Glad we have a leader like Joe that wont put up with that.
ETA: for all those saying he was doing first down gesture etc etc...im not just speculating, WATCH the play. The entire line released for a screen and burrow followed the play where Emery was supposed to be. Its already come out that Burrow told him to get off the field. Go ahead and change your downvotes to upvotes

The pressure on that play came from the left side, not up the middle on the guy he blocked. He was late on the block, but did enough. 2 other defenders were in the back field blowing that play up.

He was facing Florida’s side and was doing the first down signal. Not sure what you’re talking about

That’s not how I saw it. He’s either motioning that he got the first or organizing the troops for what he knows will be a first down substitution.

This is bad. He definitely wasn't telling him to get off the field. Emery will be a stud. Clyde is more than getting it done so he's going to get most of the carries. I expect Emery and TDP to put on a show next year.

Except when its a screen play and you are the only option for the QB to throw the ball to, and instead of running your route you decided to try and pass block.... Which is what happened on this play

This was a called screen play and Emery didn't know the play. He didn't play the rest of the game after Burrow pointed to the sideline. This was discussed after that game.

Looks to me like he missed the play call. The way the O-line released their blocks and went down field, seems the call was for a screen pass.

That's what it looked like, a middle screen. (1) no way the three interior line ALL miss their blocks so badly and coincidentally line up in a wall at the LOS and (2) Joe tucked it and decided to run without even considering throwing because he knew he had lineman downfield.
It's not that he missed the block. It's that he didn't know the play

Correct. Im not just guessing at what happened, its clear and its been stated. Anyone saying otherwise hasnt actually clicked on the link and watched the play (the lines screen release)

I dont Love that play if he does go with the screen because there are about 3 defenders between burrow and where the screen pass should have gone.
