thing is, a lot of those guys, with just a little bit of coaching would be brought up to speed based on natural athletic ability, of course the travel ball crowd would implode

Not true at all. The #1 pre-req for being an elite baseball player is having 20/10 vision like most of the MLB. They could all be elite fielders but hitting has a lot to do with eye genetics

as does the majority of athletes that make it to the level that this guys are currently at, always has been and always will be(genetics in general)

Baby Pearson was a heck of a fullback at West Monroe before he gave up football.

Football players are baseball players who got cut from travel ball.

year round football has changed things. The old days the best athletes would run track, play baseball, basketball and football.

Now the Spring is for offseason football

Jesus the idiots on this website yea I’m sure every single person on the football team has 20/10 vision because that’s such an important aspect of playing any position on the football field aside from WR.

Get a clue man, they’re completely different games with completely different skill sets, I’m sure there are guys who could’ve played both like Chad Jones and Jared Mitchell but both of those guys were talented baseball players aside from their football skill sets and put in a ton of work from the time they were young on baseball as well

They were having lots of fun, but some swung the bat like a little girl.

I’ve got a clue, man, I grew up playing all the sports, even played at LSU(pre-Skip so it doesn’t count, I know,) but before the travel ball scam/industry that’s the way it was, best athletes rose to the top, not everyone could play all sports but just about all of the elite could, didn’t they keep saying one of the UCLA players was offered a football scholarship to play QB at Notre Dame? that was pretty commonplace in my day

This. We had one guy come out who thought the glove went on his dominant hand.

Of course he still hummed the frick out the ball throwing opposite handed and knocked one out of the park once we showed him where to stand in the batter’s box

He said a few up to speed and you brought up elite. I know you're trying real hard but you aren't doing too well.
