If it is purely a financial move then yes it’s not worth it. You can stay home or pick up cheaper tickets at the game. If you want to view it as support for LSU and maintaining a top athlete program then buy the tickets ( and tradition fund ).

Hopefully more people think that way than the way you do.

And there is the rub. Kids making money on the secondary market (outside of what donors contribute) and people will be less likely to contribute.

Sorry, but I have no interest in funding grade A facilities, coaching staffs, nutrition programs and an education I had to pay for so kids that make more than I do might play football at the school I went to. It’s sad that my boys won’t share with me what I did with my dad and he shared with his, but ultimately we will do more fun things together by saving on the price of admission.

And all these “adapt or get left behind people” have zero skin in the game. College football is a dead man walking. Tv contracts will be what has to support it.

I’ve got 4. Will keep a couple more years but this past season was more effort than enjoyment. At least 2019 was fun!

And then bitch about facilities needing to be upgraded, and the need to hire analytical coaches to keep up with others.

Sorry but my families finances trump your realization that you waste your money. Its not my job to contribute to enhance facilities. The athletic dept is healthy. Also the state of La is free to use my tax dollars as they see fit

Owned 8 as family through 3 generations. More friends and family would meet up at RV pass.

Last game I sat in Tiger Stadium with these tickets was 2019 Texas A&M. Fantastic season and game. A real life memory!

Then 2020 covid, let them keep fund but reimbursed for tickets.

Then 2021 show your covid papers requirement caused a family vote. Unanimous, F LSU! Refund on tickets, parking, and fund and losing a 40+ year family tradition.

Sat Florida game this year for free after LSU dropped covid papers requirement. Will probably go to a couple of games a year on face value, free, or scalped secondary market.

New family tradition. TV

My first LSU home game was in 1979 with my father. We sat in the West Upper Deck. I was eleven at the time. During the past 43 years, I attended maybe a dozen home games. My last LSU game was against Troy in 2005.

Every game is on television so I have no interest in buying tickets. It’s easier to sit in a recliner and watch the games and use the bathroom. I have no family so I am not going to enjoy a game in TS by myself.

I think I'm going to let mine go after 25 years too....
They have just gotten too expensive for a handful of good games. The cupcake tickets, I can't give them away. I will just pick up 2-3 games a year and catch bowl games and come out ahead. It's a surprisingly emotional decision but probably the right one for me...

I have no idea why anyone would still buy LsU football season tickets.

It’s such a better experience from home.

But time and time again they have shown they dont really respect our money with the financial decisions they make. So that justification has lost me now too.

LSU has come a long way in the last two years trying to improve the big four. Mulkey, Johnson and Kelly on top of already having Wade. They seem to have spent a lot of money to improve recently. I am not saying tickets are justified, but I added four just because for the first time in a while the athletic department seems to have solid direction and is making good hires.
