That’s what we did. Better view, beer, and bathrooms. Careful, though, you may never go back…

If it is purely a financial move then yes it’s not worth it. You can stay home or pick up cheaper tickets at the game. If you want to view it as support for LSU and maintaining a top athlete program then buy the tickets ( and tradition fund ).

Hopefully more people think that way than the way you do.

I understand this point of view, I really do. But lets also talk about how the University treats its season ticket holders. You will get 3, sometimes 4 games with lesser division schools with your season tickets. When the University signs a deal with another top tier team, its a neutral sight game (USC in Vegas). So instead of a big game in Tiger Stadium with your season tickets, you get far less interesting games and the privilege of paying extra to attend the neutral site game. That's what your loyalty to the school gets you for paying your tradition fund. Add to that the refusal to do anything about the poor state of concessions even as they ask for our feedback after every season. Its just seems to be a shitty way to treat your longtime and often best fans.
I have 4 season tickets that have been in my family for over 60 years--I've paid for them the last 25-30 years. Its hard for me not to drop them and just pay for just the few games that will interesting or competitive. Ive yet to do so and hiring a new coach like Kelly gives me pause in doing so now, its just...........

I like going to one a year. Gave my tickets up in like '13. Couldn't stand Miles so said bye bye. Don't regret it one bit. Still get to go to some each year and save a ton of money and time with traffic.

I only have 2 tickets so it’s worth it for us.

My wife doesn’t come to every game. I’ll bring my brother or my son/niece/nephew if she doesn’t come

I have two, but they're on the 50. almost let them go (to my daughter) but i'll end up paying for them anyway, LOL. i appreciate the sentiment, it's getting real hard to drive (an hr), park, attend, return home and get up early Sunday. Big screen, BGE and loaded fridge. But i can't let it go. Gonna keep renewing until i can't make the games anymore, then turn them over to my daughter who is crazier than i ever was. Raised her right.

I dropped mine after 2018 season. Best decision I ever made. Still go to all the games. Rent a wins are free and most SEC games are cheaper except Bama

I'm trying to sort this out. I had up to 10 but down to 6 now. I didn't attend the last 2 years for the first time since 1966. It sucks to see what has happened to CFB with the current "pay to play" scheme. I will prob keep them and let the family use them bc I've gotten used to sitting down at home a watching games. I said it when this covid happened that they would have a hard time replacing all the people that will stay home and watch now. I've seen many posts thru the years that tickets are too high. Will they have to one day reduce the ticket price? If people keep going they will survive. If the prices continue to increase the only people to go will be people with disposable income to waste.

You have to be really dedicated to want to keep going to games nowadays. Games have always been a hassle but now they’re expensive plus every game is on TV and TV coverage is so much better.

Season tickets are a horrible investment for 10 years. Unless you are rich, get them from corporate, or just insist on "sitting by those I've always sat by", they are not a reasonable ROI. Sorry, but that's the truth. Not just at LSU.

I used to pay $20K plus every year for tickets. I quit about 6 years ago and haven't missed it at all. I can pay big prices for great tickets a time or two during the season and come out way better. I went to 4 games with family members in 2019 including the playoffs with great seats and spent less than $4K. I don't anticipate going back full time.

I’ve sold my 8 for cost the last 4-5 years to the same person. When he decides to quit buying them mine will likely go back. I just don’t see any use in having to pay all of the extra fees and only have 2-3 good games per year when I can come out cheaper buying tickets on the secondary market for just the games I want to go to especially when you literally can’t give some of the tickets away to some of the games much less sell them.

However, I am really interested to see how the SEC realigns when OU and UT join. If they go to the pod format that was mentioned it would make season tickets much more desirable for me knowing there will be more variety from year to year.

And then bitch about facilities needing to be upgraded, and the need to hire analytical coaches to keep up with others.

I see your point, but if we all give up our tickets then LSU football will cease to exist (at least in its current form)

I got there after Alleva botched replacing Les the first time he tried. Sure enjoy having those thousands of dollars back in my pocket every year.

Season Tickets?

When LSU Football no longer resembles an NFL game/Concert and Tiger Stadium returns to that of an actual College Football game with a College Matching Band playing the entire game, I'll be back, but not until then.

The last game of 2019 (The Burreaux finale) was the last time I was in Tiger Stadium and I hope it wasn't the last! (That depends on the LSUAD, but action is underway to have the situation corrrcted)
