Theres really no scenario where Les can be the coach next yr. If jimbo fell through then u just move on to next candidate. Les cant be here bc hed be rendered ineffective as a recruiter. Hed be a lame duck coach and schools would use this against us in recruiting. I was never confident that itd be jimbo but im pretty confident it cant and wont be les.

How reliable is football scoop? From the looks of the site, anyone can submit anonymous tips.

"Close" & blabbing to the media. Does not compute.

If he is infact staying and no talks are taking place i would think he would have had a press conference to address the issue and put it to rest. (May have happened i worked yesterday) all i have seen is him answer a question like every other coach who leave at the end of the season

I don't know who will coach LSU next year, but of this I'm certain: it won't be Les Miles.

They are pretty reliable. Have a lot of contacts with coaches. This is the tweet that went along with that update

Given timing, I’m not sure what else he could say; but per source, this AM Jimbo is telling those close he’s staying LINK

And here y'all go taking some random arse website with no sources cited as truth. You're just as dumb as anyone who believed DALSU.

We are closer today then we were yesterday screwing this up. That's obvious. I don't think all is lost yet, however.

Of fricking course he's saying that. What's he going to say if he plans to leave to LSU? I'm gone, good luck guys as we prepare for this game. Do you know how stupid that would be?

Having contact with coaches and coaches leaving contracts are 2 different things. Im sure if jimbo announces he is LSU coach today or after the ACC championship game changes the buy out. I dont remember any coach announcing leaving for another program until after the regular season. I would guess contract years include the conference championship game.

Jimbo Fisher: Per source, Jimbo Fisher is telling those close to him that he intends to stay at Florida State. Florida State closes out their regular season tonight at Florida.

I'm saving these type of comments for a massive thread on Tuesday calling all of you fools out. You're in good company Peej has several comments in the thread.

Was I the only one who knew from the start the Fisher wasn't coming to LSU? I mean, it was pretty obvious:
• He has a great gig at FSU--probably better than he could EVER HAVE at LSU
• FSU would do anything they could to keep him there--LSU would've had to literally double or triple his salary to get him to make a move
Fisher stays at FSU--that was a no brainer from the very beginning

I have no idea. Nobody knows anything about anything anymore.

We've reached a full post-modernist point: can we even philosophically define what coaching is, anymore?

Exactly. You have contract obligations it's not as simple as leaking to someone close to FSU I'm leaving for LSU. He may or may not be our next coach but the point is nobody at FSU knows more than we do at this point. Only Jimbo knows what he plans to do.
