Football melts are bad but at least there is an ebb and flow to the board reactions.

Baseball real time chicken Littles are a thing to behold. A single at bat or two in a row send some off a cliff! They are young men dedicating the vast majority of their lives to playing a game at an extremely high level. Most of the insanity on here is generated by people who can’t even manage to keep their garage clean, yet are criticizing young men most of whom are leading the nation.

Updating for the score and just avoid any eye contact with any of the posts below is the new strategy. Has it always been this bad or is this a function of the high expectations??

Most you are baseball illiterate and it shows. Know your limits?

It’s been consistent with our day three games. It’s bad. We can hold those secondary guys accountable when they are this bad.

Baseball melts are funny because realistically this game means nothing

So if my garage is unorganized I can’t criticize Little for not being able to throw a strike?

Our bullpen has sucked since the season started. For some reason it took y’all forever to realize it

Some people’s quality of life depends on how well LSU does.

I need someone to go game by game for the whole season and tell me which games meant something and which didn't

Why does this matter?

I've just been thinking how all over the place the baseball game threads are.

On the one hand, you have the great posters who provide the play by play - a very helpful (and I would assume fairly difficult) task. Those elevate the game threads.

In addition, there are some very mature and baseball knowledgeable posters on these threads.

On the other hand there are a handful of pretty mediocre trolls going negative just to rile people up.

There are also people who attack and name call anyone who makes any negative comments. To me, these are just as bad as the concern trolls.

Football game threads are a hot mess, but sometimes gloriously so, and they don't really even aspire to be more serious than that.

Because they are very good at it…
And when it’s a game in which success is measured by only failing 75% of the time. When someone has prepared as hard as they have prepared and come up short losing your mind about it misses the point.

Getting the hit is the exception.

I think "keeping one's garage clean" has the stuff to become the new "checking knuckles."

Yeah the bullpen constantly shitting the bed and 0-8 with RISP means everything is just all good huh? This is the best team in the country with Skenes on the mound. Anyone else and we are painfully average to mediocre

it really is hilarious when you step back and realize it. In game threads and new ones started on tRant too.

When lsu gives up a go ahead run, they suck and are going to get eliminated in a regional. When they take a lead they’re playing championship caliber baseball. It’s a sight to behold
