And for you old-timers like me, Gilbert to Hamilton.

All others, ask your parents or grandparents about that one.

I’ll never forget the ridiculously long threads arguing about whether there would have been time left on the clock to kick a fg if the Byrd reception had been incomplete.

Don't forget Nix to Twillie.

In fact, I'll be disappointed if the poster named NixToTwillie doesn't stop by this thread and offer some input.

I was so confused for a second, I did not remember a QB named Nix that played for the LSU Tigers!

I was there. Also, a blocked field goal and a blocked punt.

Fun fact. I actually thought up this user name on the 3rd down before the pick.

Truth be told I was barely 12 and sitting in the west upper deck for this, biting my nails throughout Auburn’s drive. To this day, this is my favorite Tiger Stadium moment:

Nah, TigerDroppings wasn't even a gleam in Chicken's eye yet.

I am with ya. Enough posters on this site are young enough to not have even experienced the "dark ages" of LSU football in the early 90's, so they may not truly appreciate that win. But it really did represent a turning point of sorts....a light at the end of a very dark tunnel that gave us legitimate hope.

I know DiNardo died on the Lou Tepper hill a couple years later, but he will always have a special place in my heart for "bringing back the magic". He left this program in much better shape than he found it and the cupboard definitely wasn't bare for Saban.

I was there for this game too. I remember sitting pretty high up in the stadium watching the whole thing unfold.

Truth be told, I think it was an honest mistake by Duval. The Tiger Band was down in the north end of the stadium and the entire south endzone field was open for him to go out and practice.

What Duval didn't bank on was the band marching back the entire length of the field
