Congrats Matt, my favorite LSU QB ever, he deserves everything good that comes his way.
I knew some half-wit, dipshit would attempt to connect the two. When will these idiots crawl into a deep hole, I hope they get disgusted at the lack of respect they get and move on to another school. I just hope they are as ugly as they are stupid so they can't reproduce.

I love Matt Flynn, he was a great QB, kept his head on straight, remember that last play against Auburn to win pass to Demetrius Byrd, with 11 seconds on the play clock. Awesome Game, one of the bes I ever witnessed.

It's interesting to see the parallels between Tom Brady's career at Michigan and Matt Flynn's career at LSU. Both guys had to wait to get their shot, though Brady started 2 years and Flynn only 1. Both guys had to spend time rotating with a more highly-touted recruit (Drew Henson/Ryan Perrilloux). Both guys were in balanced, borderline-conservative offenses where QB's didnt really put up big passing #'s. Neither guy was considered a star despite team success - Brady beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl his senior year and Flynn obviously won a ring. And so both guys fell to the bottom of the draft -Brady in the 6th and Flynn in the 7th.

Just saw this stat:
Flynn is just the fourth quarterback in league history to throw for 475 or more yards and six TDs in the same game joining Y.A. Title, Joe Namath, and Joe Montana.
Not bad company to be in. And I particularly like that 2 of the 4 played at LSU.
