So many mental mistakes in this game. Stupid, careless mistakes.
And call me dumb, but I still don't understand why the interference affects the runner going home when there was no attempt at all to throw home.

if you have to tell your players not to slide out of the basepath and obviously take out the 2nd baseman with 0 outs and a man on 3rd in the 7th inning of a must win game, the guy shouldn't even be on the team.

Really well then I guess Pete Rose made 4000 illegal slides and that one on Ray Fosse was no big deal. Taking out the 2b on a hard legal slide used to be part of this game.
