I detest UF in every way possible, but you have to give them props for how they view athletics, and how they use it as a marketing tool. From top to bottom their athletics are top notch, and UF's academics are no slouch either.

I became an LSU fan because of basketball in the 80s, I’m over the moon about Wade and this team but we’re gonna need more than 1 season to “challenge” Florida who has been the #2 program in the SEC for the last 10-15 years overall

And this is why I hate Florida. Whenever we seem to have decent championship teams lately, they are right there. Like you said, that's for every sport.
Even going back further, 06 in football and basketball. They were better in basketball, but not football imo. They just happened to catch jmarc play his worse game as a tiger.
