As you know, Florida game out of the gate and hit Bama in the mouth. They run that deep drag to perfection. They played hard until Brantley got hurt. I am expecting them to try to hit some deep routes on us. LSU needs to get pressure on their QB and hopefully we blitz often causing the young QB to make mistakes. Bama completely shut down Florida's running game so Florida's game plan changed to more passing. Having said that, I expect the Gators to try to establish the run early and if they can't they are going to air it out. I do believe spreading out their running backs along with their receivers can cause problems for our defense more than WV did. In the end, we have to win the turnover battle and capitalize.

Will Muschamp's debut against a good quality football team like Alabama was a bust. Muschamp took over the defense at Florida because that's his coaching preference. He's suppose to be good at it. He hired Charlie Weis to take over the offensive responsibility. When coach Weis lost his starting quarterback Brantley to injury in the Alabama game, Florida's offense was rendered helpless for the remainder of the game.

But most glaring of all was Muschchamp's defense. Giving away to the Alabama offensive line surge. Muschamp's defensive powers was non existent. Florida does have good quality athletes on both sides of the line of scrimmage. I expected more from the new Florida coaching staff.

Muschamp's debut is a bust in my eyes, if Florida is not playing a cupcake, they lose. Charlie Weis' offense was doing fine as long as Brantley stayed healthy. Muschamp's coaching debut against a strong team could have been saved by the Gator's offense if Brantley stayed healthy. But Brantley's injury sealed Florida's fate because Muschamp's defense was not getting the job done all night long.

didn't you hear that many LSU fans have already counted victories over florida, auburn and tennessee. some have even counted victories in every game until the NC. Brantley is out but their freshman QB CAN lead them to victory. the kid is a great passer. i expect a hell of a close game; florida will not lay down contrary to a lot of "geniuses" on this board.

LSU has played true freshmans before at QB and we beat good teams. Trust me, Florida is coming into this game with the mindset of winning and playing spoiler.

We watched the game as well and agree with you. The advantage we saw as shown by Alabama is LSU has a great defense as well. Florida will not be able to pound the ball because they have scat backs and are built around speed. LSU will not allow the running game and I also agree they will try to air it out. LSU has been tested in the passing game as well and I think will do well. Remember their QB will be a freshman.
Alabama also established the running game as will LSU. Mix in the play action and we will be able to put points on the board.
I'm not trying to say the Gators won't score or it will be a blow out by any means, but LSU with the strong running game and superior defense at home wins.

It's great to be an LSU Tiger right now. Enjoy!

They won't lay down and die- but I believe they'll have serious trouble scoring points on the LSU defense.

I don't think UF is a joke but they are severely limited without the starting QB. I think we are stronger than them and just as fast. I like the Tigers in Death Valley.

Offensively, yes.

I don't see us moving the ball on them. They'll be in the game the entire time.

What are you basing that opinion on?

His 2 of 9, for 14 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT in SEC play?

This. And I am not one to ever be overconfident as having watched all the debacles over the years, but that freshman qb for Florida is not ready point blank. And he got a little knicked up in the Bama game. Chavis will let the boys go against him and it will not be pretty. Sorry bout your luck FL, payback is hell.

This must be a joke.

In one half of football, Driskel was 2 of 6 for 16 yards. He won't deliver the ball to UF's playmakers anywhere close to how Geno Smith did .

Also, Florida ran 29 times for 15 yards against Bama. Ask LaMichael James how effective Quarkback football is against us.

Driskel will be better prepared to play LSU then he was last Saturday night against Bama but it won't make that much of a difference.
