I grew up in Orlando and you are right about the UF fans in central Florida. Its not enough for them just to win the game, their fans make a sport of trying to intimidate, humiliate and mock the opposing fans and its schools traditions and they do it very well.

You mean someone taunted you after a sporting event? No way! They should be thrown in jail! If you cant take someone giving you shite after a game you might want to stay home.

Maybe some of our fans have that rep, but it's definitely not all or even the majority. When my group of friends were walking back to our car we met up with an older Florida woman and started to talk about the game atmosphere and the game itself. My roommate ended up asking her if she had enjoyed herself in Baton Rouge and if she had fun while she was here and her answer was that we (the tiger fanbase) had opened her eyes to being hospitable to the opposing team. She said that she had never been the type of person to be nice to the opponent when they came into town, but how we treated all of the Florida fans opened her eyes to treating other teams with respect and kindness.
I'm sorry for the rant, but I'm tired of hearing about how "all" of our fans are terrible and we are all douche bags when we aren't.

THe point of this thread is this - people should be able to go watch their favorite team play in their own stadium without having to put up with idiots yelling or insulting them during or after the game. This goes for anyone. It is not a requirement to take other peoples crap after a game. This applies to every fan base.
