Best LSU game I have ever attended.
Me too. I had extra tickets because my idiot friends didn't want to see a massacre so some lucky people got face value tickets just before kickoff. I have never let my friends forget it. (they watched at TJ's)

Great game.

That's the TS I grew up loving.
I miss those days sometimes.

That SI spread in the middle of the magazine was awesome. Tommy Banks was one of the most underated players during the Dirnardo era.

LSU secondary that played out of their skins

Proof you weren't there. The defensive line played "out of their skins". Substituting fresh bodies in nearly every play.

I was there. For me, it continues to be my top 3 favorite home games. I was crazy wild that night and according to my ex wife it was the icing on the cake. I came home torr up from the floor up. It was that night that she made up her mind to divorce me over it. Lol

I was there. Daily Reveille headlined: "Pandemonium". Here's my treasure from that era:

With all the Steve Spurrier talk, and remembering how much of a confident, cocky SOB he was... a trait of his I hated in the 90s, but came to love in the last 10+ years...

on the morning of the 1997 UF game, in an interview on ESPN (a taped remark from him getting of the bus for Friday walk-through at Tiger Stadium), and keep in mind that Michigan was #2 (or #3) at the time and GameDay was setting up at the PMAC, probably within sight of the Gators exiting the bus...

Steve Spurrier: "Why are you guys here? Isn't Michigan playing somewhere?"

Growling and screaming at the TV, I grabbed my ticket and headed to campus!
