Wonder if he could get a coaching job at LSU if he doesn't get picked up.
Surely he gets a look in the minors. He’s a good athlete and 2 way guy.

Senior day for Simpson, Yorke, and Reaves has been an anchor on the lineup today.

One series doesn’t change shite- I’m really glad we didn’t hire this piece of shite old fossil.

He may get signed but I doubt he’s drafted. Baseball has shrunk the minors so much guys like Stanfield don’t get opportunities like they used to

I think I would have quit watching baseball

This would be the time to PH them all. They got their bows.

Pretty much everything imaginable that could go wrong went wrong this year for a baseball program
-whiffed on all transfer portal players
-injuries
-complete mental collapse by your pitching squad
-bad play spreads like cancer
-lack of leadership top to bottom on the roster especially pitching
-guys who were banked on to take the next step in development didn't
I'm sure I'm missing some. Feels like someone put a JuJu curse on this baseball program.

I wonder if any teams would give him a shot in the pros. He just seems like the type of player that would fight and claw his way up the minors and in 5-10 years he gets called up to the show. I know he's not as talented as many others, but he's a solid player.

I expect he'll have some opportunities. But the minors, as a late draft pick or undrafted, is a tough life and don't pay very well.

What do you mean? Geauxldicocks said he's the best coach in the country.

It’s extremely rare for a guy to last that long in the minors, especially someone who’s already 23 years old. If you’re not showing signs of having MLB talent, those clubs don’t give you 5 years to show them. A lot of guys with a lot more tools than Stanfield are released in 2-3 years. Just the nature of the game

That's true. Just feel like he's a fighter and a solid player that could surprise a team.

I think many people here fail to understand that LSU baseball has been poorly funded these last few years. That's what makes what Jay has done even more impressive. I believe they said Jay is at the bottom or middle of the SEC when it comes to roster funding.
Who is “they” and when and where did “they” say this?

I’m sure that dickhead would also love to suck Sully’s crusty old cock.

quote:if Cooper Moore and Casen Evans are healthy, this team is likely .500 in SEC play, at worst. Our hitting actually turned around and started putting up runs. But having guys have to pitch 3-4 innings every weekend who would normally only pitch on a Tuesday really killed this teams ability to win games.

Losing your two best starting pitchers (regardless of whether they are dominant or not) is really a worse case scenario.

Same thing happened to Vandy and they’re having their worst season in 20 years
