I don't know about you guys, but I strongly believe this guy would have been a cancer on our team. No matter how talented he is, I wouldn't want him representing LSU. He is a perfect fit for ThugU!"

You know, book by its cover and all that, but that looks like a lot of bad decisions in one photo.

Exactly

I will never understand how people get so invested in a 17 year old's decision on where he is going to "school". I love the Tigers, mind you, but the recruiting guys are a different breed.

With him being an OOS recruit you really shouldn’t expect those type kids (OOS 5 Star) to stay “Committed”

no sense in getting worked up over it
it's really out of LSU's control
agents representing players have a job to do and when the price goes over what LSU is willing to pay that's the end of it, I don't blame the player - get what you can in this era

LSU obviously bowed out of the bidding war and will turn attention elsewhere, no hard feelings, that's how it works

no different then if Eason Royal switches to LSU

You sound like a butthurt prick. Let it go!! LSU got outbid, this kid didn't create the rules, the people that look like you did. You should direct your issues to your people that's ruining college football.

Did you believe that strongly enough to post it before he flipped? Just wondering

This isn't recruiting anymore. It’s free agent bidding with no oversight.

It’s not about having pride in representing a university, it’s about having pride in securing the biggest bag.

As soon as you understand that your fandom is a means to an end for these kids, the sooner you will have a more accurate perspective on the current landscape of “college athletics.”

I firmly believe that, unless a guy can come in and be a day 1 starter and star, that bidding at the ceiling for HS recruits is a dumb strategy nowadays.

We'll pick him up in a year or two if we need him.

I have no feel for the kid personally as a human being, but he is a loss for the Tigers and gain for the U on the field. Can stop the run and rush the passer with SDE size at around 260 already. Miami basically snagged another Bain/Mesidore caliber Dlineman that will be ready to contribute in year one.

Would not surprise me to see KJ Green commit to LSU, as he will likely be offered the $ formerly pledged to Bryant. Green is built more like a WDE as oppoed to a SDE. Will need to add some weight to compete for playing time in year one.

I have no idea what kind of kid he is but posting about being a Tiger hours before he flips tells me something about his character.

What other player currently on or committed to the team do you think would be a cancer and you wouldn't want to represent LSU?

Or are these prognostications only attempted when a player flips?
