With a group from UF headed to a game in Baton Rouge for the first time for the Florida game in a few weeks. Looking for advice on what are some good tailgate lots (basically what are the fun spots that are a party) and should you get a parking pass etc. Any input appreciated.

Are y’all deadset in coming? This game will not be a real experience. 11 am.

Crap team

Crap stadium

Save your money is an option you might consider.

Yeah I was quite disappointed when that got announced as 11 am today. Tailgating kind of sucks everywhere for those games. But yeah too late to cancel, tickets, flights, hotel etc all done.

We have a huge tailgate….but not for 11am games. Nobody will be out there.

The poster above is right, sorry you picked an 11 AM game….you have to wake up at tha break of dawn just to get to the game on time, so tailgating will be minimal. What direction you will go when you leave will dictate where you should park.

We're staying in New Orleans so in that direction. Even though the early kick sucks still will drive over early to get some time in. How much of a thing is postgame tailgating?

I would just enjoy your win, catch a ride back to New Orleans and party it up there for the rest of the Saturday

Save your money and come back next year. If you’re a baseball fan come for a weekend SEC series at the box. There will be more people tailgating for that than there will be Florida in two weeks.

There are some free lots around Gourrier Dr. that will route you south and back to the interstate. There is not going to be much tailgating at all, so you may just want to park in Walk On’s lot and post up in there until game time. Y’all should plan to drive back to New Orleans after the game.

For this game? HA! There won't be anybody on campus. Most that do go to the game will leave early and try to salvage the rest of their Saturday.

I’m afraid Florida is a shoe-in to win this one.

I hate this for the players but you're probably right. People are tired of O and the shite product he keeps putting on the field. That and an early kick might only put 60k in the stadium. Depends on what happens this weekend.

Getting saddled with an 11AM kick for your first trip to Death Valley is a tough beat bud. As others have said, the tailgating scene is much different for those early games, combined with the fact LSU may be coming off back-to-back losses by that point. That being said, there will still be some semblance of tailgating, just at a much smaller level. If you're up for it, leave NOLA as early as you can and walk around campus to see what's up.

Typically, there's not much of a post-game tailgating scene.

Although it doesn't help much for this game, I'd encourage you to come back, either for a future Florida game or another random game to take in a true game day atmosphere in Baton Rouge.

Well come on down and enjoy. Others here will be more helpful — we’ve not been this season so I have no handle on things.

It shouldn’t be too late to cancel the hotel. Sell the tickets and rearrange your flight. Go somewhere else and watch the game on TV.

Campus and the stadium will be empty.

This is not a game to travel to. It will be dead. We suck and are about to fire our coach.

Avoid any and every negative fricktard with a TD shirt, hat, or coozie!
