First time being down at the SEC championship with my 11 year old son. It has been a great experience. Love college baseball and watching the Tigers.

They had their chances today. We had a dropped back pick at 2nd base and they back picked us at third. Two huge plays that changed the game. Catchers interference was huge as well.

We have enjoyed watching all of the teams play. My son was able to get autographs from basically any team but the Tigers. This has been the only let down so far. Not sure if they were told to get right on the bus after the game. No one even looked anywhere but straight ahead. Cade Beloso signed about 3 or 4 autographs and Cooper gave us a nod when we said he pitched great.

I can see Skenes and Crews not signing but everyone else should have signed a few in my opinion. Its still college. We are always told how great our fan base is and that is part of the reason you come to play here. Its college baseball...an 11 year old watches all your games and cheers you on. Stop and sign a ball

Again, they lost, maybe they were told to get right on the bus and not stop...I dont know.

My son is going home with a bunch of Alabama and Florida signatures.

I agree...I actually brought two baseballs and one is still a pearl because he only wanted LSU signatures on it. He couldn't get any though.

A high five (not even breaking stride) would have made my guys day. It is what it is, just disappointing because every other team was not like that.

I hate it for lil' man. I hope he has another opportunity to get those autographs this year.

This is disappointing. I know all five of my sons throughout the years had easy access to the teams under Paul. I’m a Jay fan, so I hope this gets rectified.

This is not the first thread about lsu players ignoring the kids. Wonder what the real reason behind that could be

Sounds like a great question to ask Mahtook and JMitch. I know he is going to protect the program at all costs but maybe he has some insight.

We both asked Leah to ask via Twitter. Hopefully we can get something on this.

That's a shame. I'd like to know the reason. Don't they usually give autographs after home games?

Odd as the players have been signing autographs after most all home games.

johnson doesnt care about fans. he cares about winning.
he or lsu has stopped alot of the fan interaction stuff . i understand covid but its now over. let the kids run the bases on sunday after the games. let their be a junior announcer again. stand by your favorite player fro the anthem on weeknight games.

They were signing after the Saturday night loss to Miss State by the bull pen. My boys each got a ball which was really cool (equipment mngr was handing them out). They weren't able to get an autograph only b/c there were a lot of kids. I would try to get it before the game if possible just in case we lose.

I think the issue is the tournament format. After each game, they rush players out of the dugout and off the field to make room for the next team. Try getting there early before the game and your son should have better luck.

By now, probably every kid in Baton Rouge who attends home games has 4 baseballs signed by the whole team. At home, you see players sign autographs for 30 minutes before and after every game.

Just left the Galleria where players are walking around taking pics and signing autographs for kids. Circumstances prob called for them not stopping. They are all very kind and giving with their time.

Different strokes I guess.

Other than the baseball and the Zoo, which was just okay, I was bored out of my mind last time I was there.

Birmingham is hood, Mountain Brook, Vestavia, and Homewood you can see in 2 hours, and Hoover is suburbia and a mall.

I remember nights going back to the hotel to get to sleep early just to pass the time.

You’ve got the Big 12 playing at the Rangers’ stadium, Big Ten is playing in Omaha, Pac 12 in Scottsdale, and you stick the SEC in Hoover? They’ve got to move that thing, imo.

Agree. I don't like the MLB park idea (too big and sterile) but Nashville would be a good option and play it at their AAA park.
