Also, quit recognizing the 1958 and 2003 football championships. And in a year or two let’s scrap 2007
We have champions square for that.
But “the intimidator” ain’t intimidating anyone.

I call it the intimidator because that’s what the fans know it as—but it’s not an official name. Want me to stop calling it that? No problem. Right field billboard. Done.

I would also support making hanging bat racks only 28” high, put a lip on the very top step of the dugout, and any other little inconveniences that would frick with our opponents.

Then just don’t call it that

Stop chasing the past.
Has cancel culture reach tRant?

Who said anything about canceling? It’s just changing the way we honor the past to be less tacky/ugly/embarrassing.

What's up the Buc-ee's I-10 billboard? It's cool to acknowledge championships but, couldn't it be done in a better way? I thought it must be something nostalgic from the old Box.

Back in the day, opposing teams used to see that and it really was awe inspiring how much LSU was winning.
You think Vandy is walking into Alex Box thinking anything other than, “cool, LSU used to be good a long time ago.”

OP: “stop chasing the past.”
Doesn’t seem like they mean changing anything, only removing it.

He already confirmed what I said. You can reread that post if you’re still confused about what he meant.

OP—why the “stop chasing the past” comment if all you meant was change the way we display them?
Sounds like you’re trying to walk it back. I wouldn’t be opposed to taking the billboard down and displaying the championships (inside the stadium) in a different way.
That’s not at all what you implied, though. Care to clarify?

OP, how many years have you been a season ticket holder? How many baseball games do you actually attend?

Future Reporter: So, Super Recruit, why did you choose to commit to LSU.
Super Recruit: When you think about the history of LSU and all those great championship teams that may or may not have existed, it just makes me want to be a part of it. Someday, I want to win a championship at LSU and have my own banner taken down. I want to build a legacy that others may soon disrespect and forget. It’s like they say, “Forever LSU. Maybe.”

I think we could do something different & better than the billboard, maybe swap out some ads on the outfield wall with championship banners? I'm sure there are a lot of good ideas out there.

I'd be more in favor of a redesign. Keep the national championships on it but add the CWS appearances and SEC season / tournament titles. Much more recent.

There’s an entire champions square with names on the plaques of every player and coach on those teams. No one said anything about taking those down.
But the big billboard showing you great you are...
Is really just showing how great you used to be. A long time ago.
