maybe because it isn't a championship game, playoff game, or a major Jan. 1 bowl.

If it were any of those, I think Daniels would play.

This mid-tier bowl against Wisconsin is irrelevant.

it's not that.

It's worrying about an injury that could destroy his chances at getting the mega-contract he's in line for now.

I mean, we're all extremely impressed by your collegiate and NFL career. Can I have your autograph?

I don't care if he plays or not.

Giving this game to Nuss will help Kelly decide if he needs to bring in another QB for next year. And at what level - capable of being a starter or for depth purposes.

Exactly, it's actually better for the team for him to announce he's sitting out now. Nuss and Collins get a lot more practice reps and Nuss gets another audition.

Caleb Williams declared he was not playing weeks ago; so he was first. Dumbass.

I’d rather he stay with the team, take a few snaps, and then go to the bench.

I understand the downsides of playing the bowl game, but I don’t like that we have normalized just leaving the team altogether like this

As a fan and football purist I'd love to see JD and Nabers play long enough to break the passing and receiving records and take a bow to close out their careers here.

Nabers may still play like he mentioned so we may still get to see the REAL Belitnikoff winner break the record.

I would say that most were not playing for a championship when they played in their bowl game.

It’s only been since 2016 that people started quitting on bowl games if they weren’t playing for a championship. Even since then, 3 of the last 7 Heisman winners played in a bowl game that was not involved in the playoffs.

Why wait until now? I guess by that logic Daniels should have opted out after we lost to Bama and we could have started all underclassmen the last 3 regular season games to build for next year. Right?

Daniels didn’t look like he was worried about an injury when he kept trotting out on the field against Ga State in a game that would've been easily won whether he played or not.

The fact that Daniels played in this corrupt conference after the cheap shot leveled by the media darlings says all I need to know about him.

If he were my kid, he would have sat out the rest of the season after that cheap hit. The SEC made it clear if he could be taken out, they were going to cheer it on.
