Actually, it would be 6 but almost all on the road.
Pretty sure he's talking about 4 that would be on Brian Kelly. He wouldn't own all 6 if it were to happen.

Hogwash. No team will be the same in December that they are in September.

They think Orgeron was the best fit because he was one of us.

I think the lack of execution and preparedness is what was most disappointing. Missed field goals and dropped punts still haunt me to this day lol. But that is a fair point

I don't disagree with that take, I just think some losses are easier to swallow than other losses. The USC loss last year for example is enough to make me want to puke lol

I dont know what an alter is, but I never said he was going anywhere, what I meant by that take was it would be the end of the world for the fan base and their trust in him. I should have been more clear on that. And from a lot of the comments on this post I think my point was proven lol, even the slightest talk of a possible opening day loss and I am getting grilled beyond belief!

There are some delusional people here. They do this shite every single season. Clemson is a very good team and those saying we’re going to blow them out are probably fooling themselves.

they wont beat clemson and they definitely are gonna get dick slapped by bama (dont care how weak bama is, they own lsu)
add a couple of more losses and they’re 9-3, 8-4 with another tangerine bowl appearance
just a middling sec program
and i agree, kelly doesn’t seem to be a good fit here…

I just saw Kiasportages dumbass post about hype and I am definitely not that same guy. I am very excited for the season and understand the hype. I think we have a top 2 QB in the nation and the best receiving room in the country. Our defense is lightyears ahead of where it was last year, especially the secondary! I didn't think I would get the response I have gotten on this post, I just truly think this will be the toughest opener we have had, and if we end up losing a lot of people will be calling for BK's head even though a loss in this game wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. (for example I thought the world was going to end after last years loss to USC in the opener )

I don't think Clemson has a top 3 defense in College Football. They have a top 3 defensive line but not top 3 overall defense...I actually think we will have several plays to be had against their defense through the air.

If LSU loses to Clemson and Florida, Kelly is fired before Halloween decorations go up.

That might apply normally but I don't think it would here. This is a big game. It's hyped up for a reason. They're pounding it in the head of the players you have to win this game. If LSU loses it pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the season. You can view it how you want but I see this as a major negative that will set LSU back because I don't think they're making a run through their SEC schedule as is.

You're wrong. Every game involving ranked teams is a "big game"...and supposedly "sets the tone for the season". How many times in football or basketball does the media act like "oh, if this team loses this one, they're done". And the next time that team wins a game, they're back in it. Take a sedative...it is ONE game in a regular season of 12. Buy into the hype if you want to. ABC is proud of you.

[snipped your next paragram]

I expect LSU to beat Florida AND South Carolina. Funny how the supposedly underrated teams get mentioned time and time again. Hardly sleepers if everyone talks about them, huh?

Plus you have to shed that entire mindset of 5 straight opening day losses which is not a good look for BK even if he didn't lose them all..

As I've said before, it matters not how you begin the season but how you end it.

For Alabama to SUPPOSEDLY "own LSU", then how has LSU won 2 of the last 6...that is hardly being "owned". Plus, if LSU had a QB who has barely thrown a college pass (see Alabama this season), you would be whining like an 8 year old that LSU has NO chance of beating anyone with an inexperienced QB.

To a lot of us fans who have been around for awhile this game absolutely does matter. USC and Clemson are two schools that got a lil diffrent when ya lose to them. Like last t year, many of us had been waiting a long time to get a piece of their arse ever since the split natty and claiming to be the real NC years ago. Now there is Clemson, the team who claims to have the “real” Death Valley and thinks of us as the real fraudulent Tiger So as a long time Tiger fan, this matters and I for one would love to shove it up there arse.

I agree that a road loss to a top 5 Clemson team to start the season would not have a significant impact on season long goals.
Preemptive Strike and excuse for losing to Clemson by a Pumptard! .

Nice cherry picking on your part too. Who won 9 out of 12 right before that? Oh yeah, it was LSU wasn't it? The series has gone back and forth. Since 1982 LSU has won 17, Alabama 26, and 1 tie. That is clearly an edge for Alabama (outside the margin of error), but the word dominant or anything like that hardly fits.
